Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for April 14.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Bendigo, Eagle Farm, Ascot and Naracoorte.
HAWKESBURY: RACE 8 @ 4:55 PM
SHADOW BRIDGE (4) has won previously at this course and distance. Wasn't beaten far last start and form out of the race has been good. Finds a winnable race here and stable jockey goes on. Looks the one to beat. NICTOCK (5) is looking for three wins in-a-row after winning in the country last start. Hasn't been disgraced racing at this level before. Won't be far away. INVINCIBLE LAD (8) has trialled well since his short spell. He hasn't won at the distance but looks on target to change that today. INVINCIBLE KISS (6) won last start at Wellington and has a good record at this course. Place Chance. MALAHAT (1) is second-up today and has won second-up in the past. Watch betting moves.

BENDIGO: RACE 8 @ 5:05 PM
MICHIGAN (7) looks one of the better bets on the day. Brought strong form to resumption and walloped the Sandown (L) Maidens from the speed as the market expected. Ran a standout figure and can lead them a merry chase with a leading hoop sticking. NO NAY EMERALD (12) won the 58 by a space and the speedy galloper keeps the 3kg claim. She's in the finish holding that level of form and looks over the odds. MAGNETIC (10) won the Maiden by a big margin before overracing this grade following. Draws to ride the speed and a bounce is likely with the extra experience and fitness. HILLCREST MOSES (2) missed a lip at Sale off the 58 win and then didn't have much luck beaten 1L at Pakenham at this level. Has the form to feature in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Backing Michigan to win.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 4 @ 2:18 PM
SWEET SNITTY (3) is ex NSW and resumed further improved missing a whisker here before going to Ipswich and walloping the 72s from the front. Gets the rail and 3kg claim and fitter can take the next step. CENTREFIRE (8) presents as the danger. Was straight back into it missing a nose at The Sunshine Coast before winning the 72 here racing handy. Draws for a soft run and keeps getting better. KATY'S DAUGHTER (4) was plain at Doomben but missed a whisker the two prior in strong races. She's a player on those efforts. ELIXIR (2) gets a 3kg claim and isn't without a hope.
SELECTIONS: Backing Sweet Snitty.
ASCOT: RACE 7 @ 4:45 PM
FINAL CHILL (2) is ticking along nicely. Two wins over 2200m and now steps up to 2400m. Has placed over this trip in the past and the form around it from recent racing reads well. Looks the goods again. AXEL 'R' EIGHT (5) has had a freshen after missing the placings here about a month ago. Can improve and can't be left out. CRYSTAL VALLEY (3) just needs to settle better in the run. Placed behind Final Chill last time and wasn't far off despite overracing. Can be in it again. FREQUENT FRIAR (6) steps up in trip after just missing the placings at Albany. Has form around Final Chill which reads ok. Include in exotics. RED HOT TIP (1) needs to show a bit more before tipping as a winning chance but is one for exotics as well.
SELECTIONS: Final Chill the win.
NARACOORTE: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM
MONTEFERRANTE (5) is a handy mare who was doing her best work late charging into 2nd spot behind Exalted Beast at Morphettville last time. She looks well suited in this sort of class and draws perfectly. She's the one to beat. JESTER HALO (1) had solid support in betting and flashed home from a long way back last time and should be thereabouts despite a tricky wide gate. SPLASH SOME CASH (4) won the LKI Cup three runs back and his past couple have been good. He draws to get a nice run and must be respected. CUBAN TOONITE (2) has won two of his past three and was impressive beating Jester Halo at Penola last time and will again be in the mix. DYAGILEV (3) has won two of five here and has each-way appeal.
SELECTIONS: Monteferrante to prove too good.
