Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 7.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wagga, Gatton, Grafton and Cranbourne.
WAGGA: RACE 2 @ 1:15 PM
DELIGHTFUL DREAM (4) capped good form with the 58 win at Nowra. Peaks now and the in-form McDougall sticking is a decent push. Will go forward and with weight relief rates to win again. BIG DAY OUT (1) won the CL2 here before being outgraded at Cranbourne. Not sure the rail suits but the 3kg claim does and he should be right in the finish with average luck in running. STARLIV (6) resumes for the sharp Matt Dale barn with a leading Sydney hoop aboard. She's quick and expect her to be further improved and ready to go. Keep very safe. MERC (7) has won and placed the last two and may control the race from the low gate. Gets a weight dip this grade and Berry is a key booking. A player for sure.
SELECTIONS: Backing Delightful Dream.

GATTON: RACE 3 @ 12:26 PM
QWICK (5) was an impressive third on debut over this journey and can take plenty of benefit from that race day experience. Gets the services of Orman in the irons and is the one they have to catch. KABALEGA (2) has finished in the top four at six of his eight starts to date and can be in the frame again. NORSE MYTHOLOGY (4) has placed four of his past six and is right in the mix again. BIRCHIP TURF (1) is a former Victorian who has placed first-up before and will find this easier than recent efforts. LADY DANORO (12) is a massive watch on debut. Any push in betting must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Qwick to win.
GRAFTON: RACE 3 @ 1:29 PM
DEMYKANI MISS (1) broke through for a well deserved victory last start and can go on with it now. Has placed second-up before and has placed two from three at this track. Looks the testing material. POITA (2) was thereabouts last campaign and comes here fresh. Has placed first-up before and two from five at the journey. Looks a key player. MORINGA'S AMORDORO (11) loves this track with a win and three placings from five starts. Has to be included. SUPER SLICK (4) looked good when runner-up here last start and is one for the multiples. ALMAHEART (5) has placed his past two and can earn some minor money.
SELECTIONS: Demykani Miss to win.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 7 @ 8:30 PM
Nothing wrong with the way LINDHOUT (12) is going in the couple of runs so far. Comes to it's home track for the first time and a slightly tighter turn than those at Bendigo and Sale but still looks like one of the better bets of the night. TURIN WARRIOR (11) won first-up last prep and rounded it out with a good placing at Geelong. Place chance at least. OCEAN REWARD (4) might have cost itself last start at Pakenham getting away from the gates awkwardly. Well in contention here. UNIQUE BAMBINO (6) has won here and gets a tick over the trip. Not the worst for sure. MONTERA (8) deserved the maiden win last start. Might find it tough to win again but can be in the finish and goes in.
SELECTIONS: Lindhout the win and quinella it with Turin Warrior, Ocean Reward.
