Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 13.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Hamilton, Northam and Moruya.
WYONG: RACE 2 @ 1:35 PM
JIMMY'S DREAM (1) looks to have found his race. Has done everything but win in five starts to date and is drawn to get the run of the race from gate one. Gets 3kg off with claim and rates the testing material. SUPREME LEADER (3) was a much improved second last time out when having his first run for the new stable. Will strip fitter third-up from the spell and looms as the main danger. CROSSCUBE (2) has been good in both Randwick trials and can measure up on debut. HIGH TRIBUTE (7) was handy in both seconds prior to the spell and tuned up for this with a nice Warwick Farm trial win. In the mix. A LAND OF (4) can earn a cheque from the low draw.

PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 8 @ 9:00 PM
HELJAMI (4) was quickly back to form missing a nose at Wangaratta. In a top yard and has more to give. She will push forward and will be hard to beat at the mile and the synthetic surface won't bother. TIDES OF JUPITER (7) rates strongly off the nose defeat here two weeks ago and didn't have the best of it. Ready to win but the wide gate is a slight negative. DIVINE RULE (9) hasn't been far away since the 6L Maiden win and has the early pace to manage the sticky gate. Back to the mile shouldn't worry and she should be in it a long way. PESKIJEN (10) will be fitter and gets a soft run. Going well enough to be considered.

HAMILTON: RACE 2 @ 1:30 PM
BENGAL BANDIT (1) placed heavily-bet at Ballarat on debut racing handy from the rail. Draws low again and should have these covered with the extra fitness. TOM'S SHOUT (6) will also run along and will be better for the debut placing. Will push forward and can prove the threat. SUMO (5) has needed the two runs back but has ability and at odds can improve into the finish with a good ride from the sticky gate. Big odds as well the rest.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Bengal Bandit.
NORTHAM: RACE 7 @ 4:15 PM
TREVELLO (2) could have struck form now after winning last start at Ascot. Had been building to it and coming to a Thursday race here at Narrogin, this suits. The form around it from recent racing reads well, too. PRIZE PURSUIT (3) is at the right stage of the prep to feature and two reasonable placings at Ascot bodes nicely for this event. A quinella chance at least. STANDOUT ROSE (5) was a beaten favourite at Ascot last start but did have excuses in the run. A win here wouldn't shock but is a place hope. SPIRITED SESSION (8) last start here beat Pink Carats who was engaged in Race 1 today. May pay to check that result but overall measures up for the placings. BUTTERLEA LAD (1) has had a long time away from the track and likely to need the run. Recent trial winner and goes in exotics.
SELECTIONS: Trevello the win but also quinella it with Prize Pursuit, Standout Rose and Spirited Session.
MORUYA: RACE 1 @ 12:40 PM
MR MAGICAL (2) failed in a Highway race last time out but prior to that was putting together a handy campaign. Goes well at this distance with two wins and a second from four starts and has won on all going. Rates the testing material. EL PRADOS (5) has placed three from five at the trip and is drawn to get the run of the race from the inside stall. Looks a threat. FOXIE LA BELLE (7) has been competing is harder races and is a winner first-up from a spell. In the mix. SHARPSHOOTER (1) loves this distance with two wins from three starts and can be in the frame. SAHARA EMAAR (3) is best of the rest fresh.
SELECTIONS: Mr Magical to win.
TOWNSVILLE: RACE 7 @ 4:12 PM
THE EGYPTIAN (6) just missed twice and then delivered third-up in the 65 heavily-bet. Is suited under the race conditions and can go on with it drawn handy and with Butler sticking. SANCY ROSE (10) has won the last two starts comfortably and keeps getting better. He will push forward and take running down. AUXIN (7) has won and just-missed the last two at Rockhampton and is suited. Has sharp gate speed and can make the front from the wide gate. A winning chance if things work out. ENDORSE (8) resumed as favourite and wasn't beaten far. He has plenty up the sleeve and also has the speed to manage a sticky gate. In the mix.
