Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 27.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Gosford, Sale, Bundaberg, Townsville and Northam.
GOSFORD: RACE 1 @ 12:50 PM
PRINCE INVINCIBLE (1) has been knocking on the door with four consecutive seconds including one at this track two starts back. Drawn perfectly for Clark in gate two and will strip fitter third-up from the spell. The one to beat. DEFICIT (2) was very good on debut just going down by the barest of margins at Wyong. Will take plenty of benefit from that and looks the main danger. SELHURST PARK (3) was much improved last start when well in the market. From a good yard and Parr sticks. In the mix. LUCKY SUN (5) wasn't disgraced on debut when fifth behind a pretty smart one. Can earn a cheque. CONTAMINATION (4) is best of the rest with Bowman on board.

BUNDABERG: RACE 1 @ 1:52 PM
ROYALSPECTOR (3) trialled well and it was a decent effort first-up at Ipswich. Has been freshened and should go close with the 4kg claim. MARCHEKY BOY (13) got a lot closer at the Sunshine Coast the latest and is also a player drawn handy. ALL GAIN (10) was plain the latest but the Gympie run prior stacks up. Worth another chance at a price. MARINASARA (12) was tracking well before the latest. Reaches peak and the 3kg claim brings her right into it.

SALE: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
BUTTON EXPRESS (9) just missed resuming in Adelaide and is an on-pacer with more up the sleeve. Rates strongly and can go one better. SOUL OBSESSION (5) is also back from Adelaide and is ready to show more. Finds much easier and the 3kg claim brings the well-bred filly right into it. CLIFFS OF BELAURA (7) threatened twice and then had no luck at Caulfield in better class. Peaks now can bounce back. SHEZAWITNESS (10) resumes in good order and will be very competitive at best. Will push forward and should get her chance.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 2 @ 1:05 PM
NICE RETORT (3) has been racing in good fashion of late including a win here two starts back. Expected to feature prominently again in this company. UP THE RIVER (5) came off a break with a solid effort here last time. Will strip fitter for the outings and has to be considered. ZOUVILLA (4) hasn't been too far away in recent performances and has to be given each-way thought. GUANGZHOU (2) should be at his top now after three runs back from a spell and is ready to put his best foot forward.
