BALLARAT: RACE 6 @ 3:20 PM

FIORENTE LASS (6) looks ready to win out to this trip having placed at three of her four runs this time in. She's ran second at both attempts at the course and distance and should be hard to beat with Yendall retaining the ride. LAYBUY (8) was well supported last start when close up over this trip behind the talented Redwood Rising. He was a winner over this distance the start prior and he should be thereabouts again. SMOKIN' PIERRO (2) will appreciate the drop in grade here off a very good second to Excelman last start in town. Despite the weight he has to be respected. LORENTE (1) is lightly raced and progressive and despite an awkward barrier he can run well again. Include. HIGH FEROCITY (16) notched a deserved Maiden win last start and is worth including in exotics. SELECTIONS: Follow up on Fiorente Lass.

GUNNEDAH: RACE 1 @ 12:15 PM

Tricky race to assess with many on debut. BOKETTO (1) looked impressive first time at the races when saluting at Quirindi by more than a length. The third horse in that race has since come out and won which franks the form. Will take plenty of confidence from that race day experience and can go right on with it now. BOSS SHELBY (2) is the most experienced horse in the field and did run a handy third at Newcastle two starts back. Looms as the main danger. LIMITED REALITY (4) won a recent Scone trial by over three lengths and looks to have plenty of potential. Keep safe. ROSIE IMPACT (11) has drawn perfectly for her debut in gate one. Watch betting. REBEL'S EDGE (7) has been thereabouts in both trials and Northey sticks. In the mix. SELECTIONS: Boketto to win.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 1 @ 12:50 PM

WUNDERKIND (3) has been heavily-bet placing the last two. Races handy and can take this out for the Fernie yard keeping the handy 2kg claim. IMA BLUEBLOOD (5) comes to peak for a leading barn and keeps improving. She can threaten in well with the 2kg claim. BOONDI ROCKS (1) placed here the latest running his best race. Uses the rail and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. ILZAAM (4) resumes and is capable at best. Is worth a betting watch. SELECTIONS: With Wunderkind.

PENOLA: RACE 2 @ 12:45 PM

MUTINOUS (6) has been gelded since he was placed at Ballarat behind The Waterman. The Prince/Kent Jnr yard don't come to Penola often and this does looks his race. MONTIGN (5) has trialled up nicely behind Prince Saiyan at Strathalbyn for his debut and he draws a nice gate. BEAUMIS (9) was good on debut behind stablemate Real Valentia before another solid effort behind Nana Dulce last time and looks the danger. FUENTESS (7) had trialled well leading into a fair debut at Warrnambool and can improve in this sort of class. IVY'S RANGER (8) ran well on debut back last August and draws a nice barrier for her return to racing. SELECTIONS: Mutinous looks too good.

PORT HEDLAND: RACE 5 @ 4:30 PM

MAKFI AMOUR (2) resumed winning the CL2 at Geraldton racing handy. He's improved and gets the run of the race from the low gate. Has been briefly freshened and fitter should be winning. MISS HARLEY QUINN (5) won the 56 here first-up and has also come on. Needs some luck pushing forward from the wide gate. SHIRL'S DREAM (8) brought Bunbury form to the 5L all-the-way Maiden win here. Gets in light this grade with a 2kg claim and can't be ruled out. TRIPLE EVENT (4) next best off a tidy resumption. SELECTIONS: Keen on Makfi Amour.

WELLINGTON: RACE 6 @ 3:00 PM

TIME FOR PEACE (4) is looking for her third win in-a-row here. Gets a good draw to lead and Blaike McDougall takes the ride. Hard to go past. ALFSTAR (5) returns from a break today. Was contesting races tougher than this before a break. Billy Owen hops in the saddle and he's a winning chance. FOX SPIRIT (6) comes into today first-up, but has had a trial at Scone in readiness for this. Went under as favourite at Gilgandra before a break. Has upside and is sure to be in the finish. MOORE EUROS (1) won well first-up at Gundagai but was simply outclassed in her latest start at Warwick Farm. Back to country grade and Kayla Nisbet in the saddle point towards a forward showing. SKY MISSION (2) hasn't raced for over a year but looks in good touch with a dominant trial win at Canberra leading into this. Looks well placed and is not to be discounted. SELECTIONS: Time For Peace to get the win.
