Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 2.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Sandown Hillside, Doomben, Belmont Park and Gawler.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 1 @ 12:50 PM
CAPTIVARE (2) has done everything but win in ten career starts with five seconds and two thirds. Has placed two from three at this track and on all going. McDonald has had three steers for two placings and is drawn well in gate four. Rates the testing material. SLEIPNIR (1) looks the main danger on the back of two thirds to start his career. Gets the services of Berry in the irons and can be a key player in a race like this. SUPERFIELD (3) wasn't disgraced on debut and will take plenty of benefit from that experience. In the mix. ALIGHTED (6) has improved at her past couple of outings and can earn a cheque. LUCKY TO WIN (5) gets 3kg off with the claim and is best of the rest.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM
OVER THE SKY (6) won as expected first-up and did it easily in the 64. He's promising and the mile suits. Keeps a leading hoop and can win again for the sharp stable. SMOKIN' ROMANS (10) found his best beaten a nose at Bendigo this grade and distance. Needs to find cover but the 3kg claim brings him right into it. EXCELLERATION (8) was just beaten this level at Bendigo a month ago and reaches peak fitness. He can improve again at the mile. Kah's booking is a decent push for his chances. IRISH BUTTERFLY (5) has more to give second-up and won't be far away with the blinkers applied again.

DOOMBEN: RACE 2 @ 1:08 PM
THE MOVE (7) had been threatening before going to Sydney and winning the 72 at Warwick Farm by a space. Is back after 35 days for the leading barn and clearly rates to be winning. SUPERARE (6) was straight back into it first-up winning comfortably. He can build on that and make the quinella. JETSKI (3) brings strong form to resumption and is 2/4 fresh. Gets the leading hoop first time and is a player in easier grade. MOUNTBATTEN (2) resumes and goes fresh. He's capable and include at a price.
SELECTIONS: Backing The Move to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 3 @ 1:49 PM
CELEBRITY MAN (5) can deliver another winner for W Pike here. Finished a length behind Enticing on debut who was engaged earlier today. Ran home well enough to place last start at Pinjarra and looks like the maiden can be broken today. TENA KOUTOU (4) may need the run first-up but its performances during the first preparation to rate as a quinella chance at least. FREE SOLO (1) might be looking for further but did place first-up last prep. Can be in the finish. PRIVATE POET (2) might feature later in the prep and also might find a few stronger in this contest. Goes in trifectas. FORGOTTEN WAR (3) had excuses over 1800m last start at Ascot. Will be suited if they can swoop and is a first four chance.
SELECTIONS: Celebrity Man the win.
GAWLER: RACE 5 @ 2:30 PM
CRYPTO CURRENCY (3) was good beating Holy Sangria before another solid effort up in class when narrowly beaten by Dr Dee Dee at Murray Bridge in Saturday grade. He's been in the money at both runs here and should take beating. DON'T DISMISS (5) looks ready to fire and should fie this a touch easier than last time out and is a winner here. BARTENDER BLUES (7) is knocking on the door and wasn't beaten far in the Dr Dee Dee race at Murray Bridge last time. He's poorly drawn but must be respected. MONRAAJ (6) made some ground behind Not Usual Glorious at Morphettville on the Parks on Saturday and must be respected in this class. CAMPOBASSO (1) could run a forward race here second-up from a break.
SELECTIONS: Crypto Currency to bounce back to winning form.
