Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 8.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Pakenham, Bathurst and Tamworth.
PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM
REAL FEELING (3) resumed in stronger on the heavy and was wide on speed. Has strong city figures including at Listed level. Runs along and gets the claim for a form apprentice. Fitter she's the one they have to beat. JAGGED EDGE (1) also comes back to easier. The former Queenslander pulled up with an issue first-up when in the market and with Kah riding. Gets a big weight but the 3kg claim helps and he's worth another chance. UNICORNY (5) will be better for the first-up run in stronger. He'll be in the finish finding his best form. RODDANDTODD (2) deserved the win this grade on the Ballarat synthetic and looks capable of working into the placings.
SELECTIONS: Backing Real Feeling to win.

BATHURST: RACE 5 @ 3:05 PM
SMUGGLER'S BAY (2) is coming off a win at Albury and down 2.5kg from the run. Unbeaten so far and will take running down again over the slightly lower journey. TAGS (3) returns here after four months and closed off last campaign with two wins on end. This will be a shade short of best trip but likely to be closing off hard. KNOW WHERE TO LOOK (5) has three placings from five runs this campaign. Coming back in trip and will be off speed here but sticking on strongly at the finish. CLAY PAN BOOGIE (4) has claims while fresh having placed at both tries. DISTILLATE (8) returned from a break in town over the weekend and led throughout to score an impressive fresh up win.
SELECTIONS: Smuggler's Bay will take catching.
TAMWORTH: RACE 6 @ 3:55 PM
DEMEURER (5) resumed as favourite and blitzed the Maidens at Moree. Led in that and draws low again. Will have come on and is the one they have to beat. EQUITIES (4) was heavily-bet winning the Armidale Maiden - his second run since switching from a leading Sydney yard. Well-bred and has more to give. VERTICAL (2) gets back but has won two of the last three and the longer sprint suits. He can make the finish again. SHE'S RUBICOOL (9) resumes off a Newcastle trial and has switched from a Queensland yard. Draws low and is up to this at best. The late market will tell a lot.
SELECTIONS: Backing Demeurer to win.
