Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 26.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Caulfield, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Belmont Park.
ROSEHILL: RACE 7 @ 3:10 PM
GREAT HOUSE (10) really dug deep to win first up and should be even better suited stepping up to 1800m. Handles all conditions and looks to get the perfect run for Avdulla. Rates highly and should prove very hard to beat. OPACITY (1) was home a long way out at this track last start and is certainly back on track. Gets up in the weights this time, but still rates well and looms as a major threat. MUBARIZ (5) chases the hat-trick following another strong performance last start. Has to raise the bar again but is certainly trending the right way. BRUTALITY (4) is on the quick back up again and appears the next in line.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Great House.

CAULFIELD: RACE 7 @ 3:30 PM
FIFTH POSITION (10) should land in a lovely spot tracking the lead here and that can be a key advantage over those hardest for him to beat. Worked and tired late when resuming then always in traffic last time and put up an even effort at Flemington. Fitter again third up and his form in the UK says he has big room to improve. LUNAR FLARE (9) ran by him last time. Two big closing efforts at Flemington but now has to bring that form to Caulfield. BEDFORD (5) was left with too much to do at Sandown on a day where making ground from back and wide was not easy. Gets a big tick there and sure to run well. MAHAMEDEIS (1) is a good horse in this grade and LAST WEEK (8) might go on with it now that he has broken back through.
SELECTIONS: Looks the right race for Fifth Position.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 4 @ 1:28 PM
POLLY GREY (1) won back-to-back Listed races in NSW then didn't appreciate stepping back to a mile when ninth at this track last start. Returns to a more suitable journey today and Tommy Berry back aboard is significant - he partnered the mare in those recent black-type wins. The one to beat. MAID OF ORE (2) was handy in running and showed plenty of fight to finish just a length away in fourth in the Ipswich Cup last Saturday. Honest mare with a decent shout at juicy odds. ZAYYDANI (7) was rewarded for consistency when a comfortable winner last time over 1800m at the Gold Coast. Placed at this level in Adelaide the run before so she can measure up. WALKING FLYING (3) warmed up late last start to finish midfield at this track over 1600m. On trial at this trip but gives every indication it is what she needs now. LA GRISA (6) is ready to improve third-up over a little more ground.
SELECTIONS: The classy #1 Polly Grey to bounce back and win.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 5 @ 1:52 PM
While MY BOY BIRMINGHAM (2) does come off a Synthetic track run, he was so dominant in that, he should be followed. He raced on the speed in that debut and will be crossing over quickly to offset the draw. LADY BETHANY (3) has been favourite in recent efforts but failed in them. She could well be looking for ground and gets it here. SKY HERO (9) is more of a staying type but if they overdo it, can run on. JAAMINT (13) backs up off a strange run. Better barrier today. CAMPOBASSO (5) does enjoy softer conditions.
SELECTIONS: Happy to think My Boy Birmingham has the right form.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 8 @ 4:25 PM
LEADING GIRL (9) was excellent first-up in a good form race then no luck off an outside gate last time. Proven this trip and peaking. The one to beat. THE VELVET KING (2) impressed winning first-up then didn't have a lot of luck in the Hyperion. Ran third in this race last year and is a major player again. DANCE MUSIC (8) has placed in all three runs back and will likely get some control in front so she's a definite chance. DIG DEEP (4) and NAUGHTY BY NATURE (10) have some claims.
SELECTIONS: Leading Girl to win. Trifecta 9-2,4,8,10/2,4,8,10.
