Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 30.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Rockhampton, Eagle Farm, Sandown, Belmont and Balaklava.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 2 @ 1:25 PM
DRAGONSTONE (4) wasn't disgraced on debut when a close-up third at Canterbury without much luck in running. Will take plenty from that race day experience and Parr was in the irons for that run and sticks. Right in this. TUHINGA (12) was a good third on debut at Canterbury behind a horse that came out and won again on a Saturday. Drawn perfectly for Rawiller in gate one and will be in it a long way. CLEMENCEAU (3) has shown enough at the trials and is from a good barn. Keep very safe. I AM LETHAL (6) is impeccably bred and has yet to taste defeat at the trials. Respect any betting moves. RETRIEVAL (13) has race experience on his side and is a must for exotics.

SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 9 @ 4:30 PM
The race sets up well for EXCELLERATION (8). Led beaten a nose this grade and trip on the Hillside and reaches peak fitness. Gets the run of the race from an inside gate and Kah sticking adds to the confidence. ORLEANS ROCK (6) did a big job from the back missing 1L here 14 days ago. Will present fitter and Melham should manage the wide gate. The mile suits and the gelding should go close. BERMADEZ (14) got too far back on the Hillside a month ago running favourite. Was tracking well prior and has scope for improvement. CHIEF ALTONY (2) just missed at Flemington in stronger grade and had no luck. The extra 200m advantages as does the low barrier and 2kg claim. MRS BECKHAM (16) also deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with Excelleration who can go one better.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 4 @ 2:18 PM
WEONA KARIOI (15) is in a sharp barn and has impressed the two starts back. Keeps the 40% stable-striker and fitter should be taking this out. CHICAMO (13) finished alongside the above the latest and Fradd rides again from a handy barrier. Races at peak and can prove the danger. RIGHT REASON (9) has been knocking on the door and can sit closer today jumping with them. Gets Callow first time and keep well-onside APPLICATIONS (1) returned to racing improved placing at the Gold Coast. he can build on that and has to be considered. LETHAL WARNING (14) debuts for the State's leading stable and expect her to be better than the two trial finishes suggest. Gets the paint and monitor the late betting with her.

BALAKLAVA: RACE 6 @ 3:05 PM
LADY HIGHLY (1) ran a slashing race first-up in SA behind Highly Discreet before jumping up in trip and was only fair behind Not Usual Glorious at Morphettville but that is a strong formline. This trip looks ideal and she will take some beating. LUTZ (2) was a good Strathalbyn winner before leading up and looking to have his chance at Murray Bridge last weeks. BARTENDER BLUES (4) was good behind Busker's Ballad at Murray Bridge last time out and has each-way claims here from a good barrier. SOSTENIDO (6) was good leading when 2nd behind Azzureous at Murray Bridge last time and he draws to be on speed and right there again. SMILING ASSASSIN (12) ran OK behind Celtic Valour at Murray Bridge last week and has been placed at two of five runs here.
SELECTIONS: Lady Highly to break through in SA.
