Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 24.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Doomben, Belmont, Gold Coast, Mildura and Morphettville
DOOMBEN: RACE 6 @ 2:18 PM
SO CLEVER (17) is highly promising. He has been impressive in leading throughout in both starts, the latest by 2.3L over this distance at Eagle Farm. Can take full advantage of the low draw and continue to work through his grades. ACROBATIC (7) is coming off a win at this track over 1110m where he sat behind the pace before drawing clear in the straight. Has won third up before so will be at his peak and could go on with it. LUSKIN HERO (15) is going well having kicked off the campaign with back to back wins then chasing well to place last start. Building a good record and can be involved again. BIG BAD BRUCE (10) performed well fresh and can progress.
SELECTIONS: So Clever to maintain the unbeaten record.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 3:20 PM
SENTIMENTAL QUEEN (1) had a two month break before a gallant second at 1400m two weeks ago. Fitter for that and the trip suits. Hard to beat. VITAL FLIRT (5) is in top form and was a dominant winner in easier company last week. Can go on with it. GINGER BAKER (4) is coming through the grades nicely and finished too well to score at 1400m last time. Definite chance. BRAVE DREAM (10) and NEXT STOP THE MOON (2) are capable of showing up.
SELECTIONS: Sentimental Queen to win. Trifecta 1-2,4,5,10/2,4,5,10.
GOLD COAST: RACE 8 @ 4:29 PM
THE CATCH (2) is 2/3 this campaign and it was easily the latest in the Grafton 58 at 1700m. He has more to give and fitter can win with weight relief for a red-hot yard. ADELAIDE'S DIAMOND (3) has been racing in a bit stronger and two-back missed 1.5L here this distance. Was close-up after that over longer (also as favourite) and the blinkers come off. A genuine winning chance. BRAZEN FORCE (4) also races handy and has been threatening in the country. In the mix. RUBY'S LAD (5) was outgraded at Doomben but the form prior would see him around the mark.
SELECTIONS: Backing The Catch to win.
MILDURA: RACE 2 @ 12:56 PM
EASY SINGLE (2) has been off the scene for a 15 months having suffered a suspensory injury. In the right hands and should be well-primed for return. Has to be respected. EXLOVER (3) should be at his top following two runs from a spell. Hit the line strongly at Ballarat Synthetic last time and forward showing on the cards. BLUE PAWSOM (1) has faced the starter on only the two occasions and both performances have been solid. Won't be too far from the money. IMPOSING BROOK (9) raced handy to the speed and stuck to task solidly on debut. All the better for the outing and has to be respected.
SELECTIONS: Back Easy Single to win.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 8 @ 4:02 PM
STAR OF UMA (6) did run favourite in a Melbourne metro race three weeks back coming off her good form back home. This is far easier than that. They might press forward to get a sit. EXTRA MILE (2) just can't get close enough to challenge but is racing OK. May be the same situation here. NONAME LANE (12) broke the maiden nicely recently. He may build on that now. MUNSTER (4) was a little plain a fortnight back but had been good beforehand.
SELECTIONS: Tipping Star Of Uma to bounce back.
