Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 15.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings today are held at Ballarat, Orange, Bairnsdale, Bordertown and Bunbury.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 4 @ 1:20PM
LA MARSA (5) resumed with a good fourth last start behind the impressive I'm A Bronco when in the market. She was tried in some of the better 3YO races last Spring and looks well placed to break through second up at 1600m. She's easy to like. SACRA (11) has placed in her two runs to date both on the Heavy. She can race handy to the speed and should be thereabouts again with natural improvement. ALWAYS DEFINITE (1) improved sharply last start when a close up second. She can run well again. ROANOKE (10) creates interest third up out to this trip and is worth including. SELECTIONS: La Marsa gets to the right race.

MORUYA: RACE 5 @ 3:30PM
HARDY (2) resumes with a nice trial at Goulburn under his belt. Was a dominant winner at Wagga on debut and Brodie Loy sticks. Maiden win rates highly and will prove hard to beat. MITTATA (4) was a big winner over this track and trip fresh as favourite. Draws out but has the ability to be there at the finish. DESIGNER DANCE (5) resumes without a trial. Wasn't disgraced in two Highway runs prior to the spell. Weighted well after Amy McLucas' claim. Goes well fresh and is a winning chance. PRINCESS DE ROCA (10) was a good winner at the Sapphire Coast fresh. Draws well and gets in light with Jeff Penza taking the ride. Wont be far away. SELECTIONS: Backing Hardy to win.
NARROMINE: RACE 9 @ 5:00PM
DESHAWN (7) has been very honest of late with a win and three placings coming from his past four starts. Goes well over this journey with a win and three placings from five attempts and gets the services of Cahill in the irons. Looks the one they all have to run down. WESTERN PARADE (1) resumes here but form showed prior to the spell was good for a race like this. In the mix. SPILIA (2) is a winner over this distance and gets 3kg off with the claim. Can be in the finish. DISCONCERTED (8) will be rock-hard fit for this and is one for the multiples. DIVINE JEWEL (4) has won one from one over this track and distance and can earn some minor money. SELECTIONS: Deshawn to win.
COLERAINE: RACE 7 @ 4:10PM
FRANQUIN (1) is going for three straight. Bolted in here last week by 10 lengths and despite the weight rise is expected to go close again. HIGH DELTA (2) finished on the placegetters heels last time in another solid effort. Expected to feature prominently again. MISS SHARP (3) resumes and while fresh form is moderate does have a Ballarat synthetic trial under the belt. Is worth including in multiples. OCEAN DEW (5) has finished just out of the placings at both runs this campaign. Should be at her top for this and is well worth keeping in mind. SELECTIONS: Back Franquin to win.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 2 @ 1:25PM
RED RUBI (4) won the Maiden at Doomben by a space and then was far too good here first-up in the CL1. Fitter the promising mare can right go on with it. ATOUCHOFSYN (7) just missed here resuming in a bit stronger and will use the rail. Keeps the 3kg claim and he can make the finish. THE DARLING (6) also finds easier and is busting to win. A player as well. SELECTIONS: With Red Rubi.
