Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 20.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Bendigo, Ipswitch and Murwillumbah.
BENDIGO: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
BRAZEN BULLY (10) made it 2/3 saluting at Sandown-Hillside and then disappointed on the heavy at Moe well supported. His form on dryer reads very well and he's assisted by the 1.5kg claim for a promising apprentice. LOMBARDO (1) is also in good hands and followed the first-up heavily-bet Adelaide win with a near miss at Flemington at this level. Fitter now and has the speed to manage the wide gate. ASHFORD STREET (5) just missed in the same contest at Flemington improving again. Draws to advantage with a small claim and is also a serious player. CRESTANI (11) has to come back to a shorter sprint but rates well at best and can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Brazen Bully.

IPSWICH: RACE 5 @ 3:35 PM
RICH LISTER (5) wasn't disgraced in open company at Eagle Farm last start. Draws the rails and the claim of Zac Lloyd is a bonus. The one to beat. HIDDEN SECRET (6) was beaten 1.4L over this track and trip last time out. Draws well and the blinkers come off. Winning hope. CHELSEA REIGN (4) ran on well to win at Warwick last start and gets Ryan Maloney in the saddle today. Can go on with it. BEAT IT (9) wasn't far away when beaten 3.5L at the Gold Coast last start and the wet track is a positive. Draws well and won't be far away. FALVEY'S SPIRIT (8) draws well after a 2.6L defeat at Warwick last time out and James Orman takes the ride. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Rich Lister to win.
MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 5 @ 3:10 PM
LE FIGARO (7) wasn't disgraced in much harder company last time out and form prior was very consistent. Loves this distance range with a win and three placings from four attempts and has placed two from two at this track. Is clearly the one they all have to run down. PRIDE OF PYINGERRA (4) failed last start but prior to that had strung together two wins on the bounce. Looks a big hope from the inside stall. SWEEPING THE BOARD (3) rarely runs a bad race and gets 3kg off with the claim. A genuine top-three contender. THE RED ONE (8) was very honest before the spell and can show up while fresh. FREYA'S CLOAK (1) has won over this course and distance and is sure to be given a nice run by Jennings. One for the multiples.
SELECTIONS: Le Figaro to win.
