Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on August 25.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Sandown-Lakeside, Ipswich, Murray Bridge and Belmont Park.
RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 3 @ 2:35 PM
FINALLY REALISE (4) hasn't finished worse than fourth this campaign and was beaten a lip this track and trip last time out. Gets in light after Brock Ryan's claim and is a leading hope. MAURICE'S MEDAD (3) looks to have returned in good form in his two lead up trials. Wasn't disgraced in much tougher company last preparation and is sure to be in the finish. ESCAPED (2) rates well off his last start fourth over this track and distance, when beaten 0.3L. Tom Sherry claims 2kg and he's sure to be prominent from the good draw.
SELECTIONS: Going with FInally Realise to win.

SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 2 @ 1:00 PM
CAFE RIZU (8) runs along and has just been nudged out the last two and keeps improving. She will use the paint and will take a stack of beating with the 3kg claim. FLORENT (5) made a ratings spike beaten a lip at Caulfield in the 84. The rise to the middle distance advantages and the 2kg claim helps with some of the weight lift. She shapes as the quinella. MI KERI PI (1) led and Moe and was back to his best beaten a lip. Peaks now and the 2kg claim brings her into it. PINA (14) resumed improved at the mile and the lift in trip won't bother. On a 7-day return with weight relief at this level and can work into the finish. Lane sticking is a plus. CLEAN ACHEEVA (7) has been threatening and won't be far away with the in-from John Allen on. SELECTIONS: Backing Cafe Rizu.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM
TYPE WON (5) raced favourite and was just nudged out here third-up. The speed galloper draws to advantage and gets the top hoop first time. Fitter she's clearly the one to beat. FISH HOOK (4) resumes and goes fresh. Is likely to be further improved and the low batter and 3kg claim bring her right into it. KATONA (1) also resumes and has been busting to win. Usually needs a run but is back in grade and deserves consideration. SOMETHINGREADY (3) draws the outside but is going well enough to fill a slot.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Type Won.
IPSWICH: RACE 1 @ 12:33 PM
MORETON BAY (7) was only beaten 3L at Doomben on debut and then was just nudged out at the Gold Coast. May control the race and fitter clearly rates to win for the premier barn. DOCTOR TEEKAY (1) resumes and has placed 3/4. Goes fresh and will have come on. The handy barrier advantages. HALFAHOPE (3) was okay on debut when expected to need it. Draws well and fitter can make the finish over the longer sprint with Cahill going on. RED DRESS (5) also rises to 1100m and made a ratings spike missing a lip at Toowoomba from the front. Gets Fradd today and is in the mix at a price.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Morton Bay.
MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 6 @ 3:05 PM
NAKHEEL (5) has been in the money at three of four starts here and made good ground from well back when 2nd behind Wurlies Lastchance at Murray Bridge last time out. She draws well and should take beating. NATIVE BLUE (1) followed a good Warracknabeal win two starts back with a placing here behind Goliotus and should be in the finish. BACK POCKET (8) had market support when too good for Masaru Warrior at Balaklava last time. SMART PROMISE (9) was a winner at Balaklava four starts back and placed behind Back Pocket there last time. MAGUS MAN (11) has been around the mark and worked home well last time.
SELECTIONS: Nakheel looks too good here.
