Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Cranbourne, Benalla, Muswellbrook, Rockhampton and Canberra.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 3 @ 7:00 PM

KERMY (8) has bumped into recent city winners at past couple of outings. Looks ideally placed in this line-up and should go close. WRITTLE (9) was easy in the market on debut and fought on solidly after leading. Will be improved by that experience and should not be discounted. GIDEE UP GAL (11) showed a bit more fight last time when stepped up in distance. Likely to be up on the speed here and won't be too far away at business end. GOLD VEE EYE PEA (7) wasn't that far from the money last time and cannot to be underestimated in this line-up.
SELECTIONS: Back Kermy.

BENALLA: RACE 5 @ 3:30 PM

MACH ONE (3) take son easier company today that it did at Sandown. The run before at Cranbourne is probably a better guide when placed over 2025m. Can step up again today. DON'T MAKE ME WAIT (1) scored at value odds at Kyneton late last month and will be suited whatever the conditions. Looks the main danger. ANIKERY (2) looked a lot better at Mornington last start. The form out of that race could be ok so definitely goes in calculations. MISS CHANG'E (5) goes up in trip after just missing the placings and less than a length from the winner at Warrnambool. Another one for trifectas. LINGJUN TOPGUN (4) won at Berrigan last start but will strike a tougher affair here. First four chance.
SELECTIONS: Mach One the win and quinella it with Don't Make Me Wait and Anikery.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 4 @ 2:45 PM

SILENT TRYST (2) hasn't done much wrong with two wins and three seconds from five career starts. Collett was in the irons for the last start four length romp at Orange and sticks. Drawn well in gate three and looks very hard to run down. ADIOS STEVE (3) has won two from two at this track and will strip fitter fourth-up from the spell. Looks a key player. MOMACK (1) has finished in the top five at all eight career starts and can be in the mix again with the 2kg claim. DR COPPER (13) has placed four of his past five starts and can earn a cheque. CAPRI LANE (4) best of the rest from the good barn.
SELECTIONS: Silent Tryst to win.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 6 @ 3:12 PM

HILFLAGER (4) led and won the Maiden by a space as expected and then went to Mackay and missed a nose. He will use the low gate and can bounce reaching peak fitness and with Wiggins reunited. SANTORINI SUMMER (1) switched from Victoria but didn't come-up his two races last campaign for the new barn. Gets some gear changes and has trialled. Has the ability and is a betting watch. A GIRL LIKE ALICE (3) comes back in grade and go on the comfortable all the way win here two back. Draws to advantage and will be hard to peg back. BONDI BEAU (8) was a big Maiden winner at Mackay heavily-bet again and can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Hilflager.

CANBERRA: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM

PERFECT PITCH (5) just missed here a month ago behind Zelago and McDougall is reunited. Gets weight relief and wins at best. Is in good local hands and is the one they have to beat. ROYAL MONARCH (4) peaks off the 1L defeat here 9 days ago behind Island Bay Boy and will use the rail. Keeps improving and looks right in it. ZELAGO (2) followed the win over Perfect Pitch with a near-miss this level and then faded late at Kembla Grange 6 days ago. He will ride the speed from the low gate and is a player. ONS VIER (7) keeps putting in and is always a chance at this level.
SELECTIONS: Backing Perfect Pitch to win.
