Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 19.

BALLARAT: RACE 3 @ 2:35 PM

TEEWATERS (13) has placed at his past two including last start over this distance when favourite. He's only lightly raced and looks to have more upside than many of his rivals here. Look for him to go close on his home track. TIGERTIGER (8) caught the eye running on from the back for third last start in this distance range when resuming from over a year away from the track. He'll take plenty of improvement from that and looms as the logical danger having had reasonable form prior in New Zealand. THE ONION THIEF (12) has been thereabouts in two runs back from a spell and should be suited out to this trip third up. Keep safe. PRESS START (10) and TWELVE GAUGE (9) can add value to the exotics stepping up in distance which should suit. SELECTIONS: Teewaters can break through.

ARMIDALE: RACE 4 @ 2:55 PM

Former Victorian IN HOT WATER (2) is having her first run for the new stable but the form showed in previous campaigns stacks up for a race like this. Has placed two from three over this journey and comes in well at the weights with the 2kg claim. Will be in it for a long way. TWIN SEAS (1) has looked good in his past couple with a solid second and Gunnedah before not being disgraced at Tamworth last time out. Another who gets some weight relief and looms as the main danger. BUBBLES 'N' MORE (5) is a recent barrier trial winner at this circuit and no surprise to see a strong run on debut. Respect any market moves. BARREN JACK (4) will strip fitter third-up from the spell and can earn a cheque. ROCKDOG (9) best of the rest in a race with a long tail. SELECTIONS: In Hot Water to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:19 PM

MALIBU BLAZE (6) got on the board as a well-backed favourite at Doomben last time. Only lightly-raced and can certainly go on with the good work here. WAY BEYOND (1) was placed at Eagle Farm three runs back but has been a little plain in two runs since. Looks suited in this line-up. Has claims. BELLICOSE (4) raced on the speed and boxed on soundly last time. Should be handy in the run and has to be respected. KAIBERRY (2) was a Doomben winner two starts back and followed it up with a solid effort last time. Has solid claims again. SELECTIONS: Back Malibu Blaze to win.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 8 @ 5:20 PM

LITTLE SES (8) won here and then delivered again at the mile from the back and impressed. Draws out again but the promising mare will enjoy the extra distance and can make the hat-trick. DALSWINTON (3) rates similarly on the 58 win. That was a much improved effort and he should have the tow to kick up from the rails gate. In the leading barn and a chance to repeat. MAGIC WILL REIGN (1) is a stablemate who has been a round the mark in better class. Gets the handy 3kg claim and can't be ruled out. PRETTY FRIAR (7) is racing well and is also in the mix. SELECTIONS: Backing Little Ses to win.
