Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 2.

Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Flemington, Morphettville parks and Doomben. 

RANDWICK: RACE 8 @ 4:05 PM

RIODINI (9) has gone to a new level with the blinkers being applied having been narrowly beaten in both the Chelmsford/George Main Stakes. Clearly the weight horse off that and the wide draw keeps him out of trouble. In career best form and is the one to beat. MO'UNGA (1) gives weight away but still rates well and a high pressure mile should play right into his hands. The clear danger. HUNGRY HEART (6) will likely find the mile too short but has caught the eye in two runs back and cannot be discounted. PRIVATE EYE (12) is going better than it appears and has to be included with the rain around.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Riodini down in the weights.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 7 @ 3:45 PM

Great clash at the top end. VERRY ELLEEGANT (4) is outstanding at 2000m and particularly third up where she is four from five at the trip. Won the Ranvet beating Addeybb at this point of last prep and going at least as well this time around after powering clear in the George Main last time. INCENTIVISE (3) kept his winning streak alive back at the mile in the Makybe Diva and will be better suited back up in trip now. Verry Elleegant will come at him harder than anything he has seen to date but he's a terrific talent. Really liked the return of SIR DRAGONET (1) behind Incentivise last time and while this may pan out in much the same way for him he must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Verry Elleegant is top class third up at this trip.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 2 @ 12:57 PM

ALL BANTER (2) showed she was an excellent mare winning races in Victoria last season. She even took out a Listed race. That appears too much for these if she is on her game. STAR HILLS (3) can be very hit and miss and probably wants it dry now. The smaller field sets up better now. DEXELATION (1) could need a run but he is well up to this company. Just hoping they don't run him off his legs. HUFFINGTON (5) is much the same. Will be right with the speed all the way.
SELECTIONS: Keen on All Banter.

DOOMBEN: RACE 5 @ 2:18 PM

KUBRICK (2) is on a quick turnaround after a second over 1625m at Toowoomba seven days ago where he closed well to miss by a nose. That was his third placing from four runs this time in. Gets his chance to strike. PALASZCZUK (14) continues to perform well, placing in both runs since a Grafton win. Led for much of the way last start and fought on for second, beaten a neck at Eagle Farm. May take catching. MAKEDON (7) is close to a win off back to back placings and will be at peak fitness now. OUR REBEL (3) should enjoy coming back in trip having started this campaign with back to back wins. HOWDY ANGEL (13) has been good in both runs since a spell and can progress again.
SELECTIONS: The consistent Kubrick to break through.
