BALLARAT: RACE 8 @ 4:50 PM

MR BRIGHTSIDE (10) has been perfectly placed as he's moved through his grades, winning five on end. He's unbeaten in this distance range and is drawn to get the ideal run again on speed. Dropping to the minimum weight he looks set to continue the picket fence on the way to better races over Spring. SKYMAN (3) looms as a danger having finished close up behind Floating Artist at his past two with that form line being one of the strongest going around. Keep safe. HARBOUR VIEWS (1) has found some his best form this time in and he looks capable of further improvement here third up, rising to 1600m. He's right in this. JUST FOLK (11) has upgraded his form recently, placing at his past three runs in town. Don't take lightly. WINNING PARTNER (4) impressed last start making it back to back Balaklava Cups downing the handy Second Slip. He's in the mix. SELECTIONS: Keep following Mr Brightside.

COONAMBLE: RACE 4 @ 2:20 PM

OPERA TICKETS (8) looks to be the class runner in this field and following a very close 3rd of 7 last time out, he is the on top selection. He has been racing in tougher races than this and he is likely to be storming home when it matters most. ON A PROMISE (7) is the form picnic horse in NSW at the moment, registering three wins on end in the lead up to this final. Will get a good sit from the draw and should be thereabouts at the finish. SESTINA (12) is another big chance after recently contesting harder races. She finished third of 8 last time out in much tougher race and could be the early leader from the wide draw. MADISON POINT (5) was a nice winner two starts back before finishing 5th of 10 last start. Could be the value play for punters. COMBOGOLONG (1) is the other likely leader in this race. He has won three of his last five and last start finished 2nd in a small field but the distance is a query. SELECTIONS: OPERA TICKETS to win. Quinella 7-8-12. Trifecta/First Four 1-5-7-8-12.

DONALD: RACE 6 @ 3:57 PM

BON SHADOW (4) led them up and boxed on soundly at first run off a freshen up. Fitter this time around and forward showing on the cards. BELLOWS (3) hit the line strongly at Echuca last time after a solid run at Bairnsdale at previous outing. Kept fresh for this and is expected to run well. INFINITE MATRIX (1) is coming off a break. Form last time in was mixed but has placed fresh previously. Is worth keeping in mind. GOJAZZ (6) faded in the run home at Coleraine last time. Better placed back to this trip and looks a threat. SELECTIONS: Back Bon Shadow to win.

GERALDTON: RACE 4 @ 3:50 PM

SAVAGE ONE (1) is another strong winning chance for the Durrant barn. Was just beaten at Northam first-up as favourite in stronger than this. Fitter the on-pacer can take this out from a handy draw. WARM 'N' FUZZY (2) was first-up and only beaten 1L here from the speed. Can build on that and make the finish. SLY AS A FOX (3) did a big job beaten 1L here on resumption after a poor start and settling well-back. Has the handy claim and is a player if he jumps with them. UNCANNY TIMING (6) resumes for the new barn and the trial suggests he can come back improved. SELECTIONS: Keen on Savage One.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 5 @ 3:15 PM

CALIFORNIASILENCER (10) is unlucky to still be a maiden with two handy seconds to start the career. Strikes a winnable race here and is from a very good yard. The one to beat. RICK'S MANIA (1) is on debut but has shown plenty at the trials including a dominant six length win at the latest. Has to be respected and watch betting closely. DEEP ROMANCE (11) is another facing the starter for the first time and looked good winning a recent trial. In the mix. The well-related SAVOURER (13) can make her presence felt and THE GLOBE (14) has placed two from three and is one for the multiples. SELECTIONS: Californiasilencer to win.

PENOLA: RACE 4 @ 2:40 PM

SALSBURY HILL (10) has been thereabouts in all five runs this time in and deserves to break through. Placed over this track and trip two starts back and will be rock-hard fit for this. This could be her chance to finally shed the maiden tag. LOVE TO LOVE (3) failed last start but both runs prior were full of merit. Looks to play a major role in the finish. LIME SPIDER (2) has been just behind the placegetters of late and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. In the mix. ROLL ME AWAY (9) gets 1.5kg off with the claim and can fill the frame. NANCY MAY (8) will find this much easier than her last outing and is sure to make her presence felt. SELECTIONS: Salsbury Hill to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM

ENTERPRISE POMME (6) led and was beaten 1L in a Randwick Group 3 and then was just beaten in the Open 3 at Doomben for the new barn heavily-bet. Gets the blinkers applied again and should have these covered reaching peak fitness. BERDINI'S GIRL (5) resumes and is a Listed and Group performer. Has a tricky gate but has the handy 3kg claim and has won fresh. Owns a Doomben trail win and is a danger. SNEAKY THREE (8) resumes off the 5L Gold Coast maiden win on debut. He's trialled sharply and is sure to have come on. Cahill rode in the trial and sticks. REFERO (4) resumes for the premier barn and his Doomben trial suggests he's improved and ready to go. Has been gelded and Maloney is sure to use the rail. Keep very safe. . SELECTIONS: Backing Enterprise Pomme to win.
