Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Taree, Bathurst, Moe, Pakenham, Ipswich and Murray Bridge.

TAREE: RACE 7 @ 5:10 PM

MARGIE BEE (1) is a very honest mare who likes to make her own luck by running them along in front. Has a handy record over the mile with two wins and two placings from six starts and gets 2kg off with the claim. From an astute barn and looks the one they all have to run down. PARTY HOST (5) has placed five from eight over the trip and can earn a cheque. LA JOLIE FILLE (2) bounced back to form last start and can go on with it now. LORD JAYSEA (8) has hit the top three in five of his past six starts and is one for the multiples.
SELECTIONS: Margie Bee to win

BATHURST: RACE 5 @ 3:24 PM

ANG POW (2) is unbeaten from two starts to date and looks well placed here. The step up in class shouldn't be a concern and Buckley jumps on board for the in-form Freedman yard. He looks very hard to beat. CRUCIAL WITNESS (5) was a good winner two starts back when 1st of 9 before she finished a disappointed second last of 9 last time out. Capable type and she should be thereabouts in this race. SHADOW CHASER (1) resumed from a spell (118 days) when 12th of 14 in much tougher city assignment. Back in grade here and has never missed a place second up (2:0-2). CHEVCONI (7) was a good first up (160 days) winner last start. Up in grade and distance here but he looks a genuine improver. WITNESS COLLECTOR (8) is a consistent type. He finished 2nd of 11 two starts back, then in this grade, he finished 3rd of 11 last time out. Extra distance should suit and could be right in this race.
SELECTIONS: Ang Pow to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 8 @ 5:08 PM

DEAL OF POWER (8) is third-up and can find his best for the premier yard. Looks well-placed and the high stable-striker gets aboard for the first time. GINJA (1) resumes and is also up to this. Has trialled twice and no surprise if he's forward and comes hard. MISS HUSTLE (12) won the maiden comfortably at the Gold Coast as the marker expected. Draws well and is a chance to go on. GREY NOISE (2) also has claims building on the near-miss at Gatton.
SELECTIONS: Backing Deal Of Power.

MOE: RACE 9 @ 4:40 PM

WAY TO GO PAULA (14) has threatened in Listed races and has won 2/3 fresh. Is suited resuming at this level and the promising mare should have them covered if presented on-song. OFFICE JIM (8) has to manage the wide gate but there was a lot to like about the big first-up win at this level. Had been away for a while and is a player with the extra fitness. THE GENERAL (6) also gets a wide gate but has the speed to cross and control the race. Ran a peak at Sandown in stronger off following the win this grade and gets in well with the 3kg claim. MOSSCON (13) won twice and has been close up the three since. Fit and can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Way To Go Paula.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 3 @ 1:20 PM

CASSOWARY (14) is dropping back in class on last time when beating 3.6 len in 7th spot behind Cerberus in the Listed Hill Smith Stakes at Morphettville. She draws perfectly and looks the one to beat here. DOROTHY ROSE (9) has been runner-up at her past four, she draws wide but is sure to fighting out the finish. MAURICE ROAD (10) was placed at Balaklava two starts back and must be given some thought here. JOPHIEL (4) had handy Victorian form and was making ground first-up in SA behind Gondolier at Gawler. He's been placed six times on a soft track. MISS HENDRIX (11) has claims on a good effort at Balaklava two starts back.
SELECTIONS: Backing Cassowary.

PAKENHAM: RACE 4 @ 6:45 PM

SALTO ANGEL (8) resumes at the mile and two-back was only beaten 1L in Stakes grade over a staying trip. He's placed fresh and can win this event comfortably if presented on-song. ALWAYS DEFINITE (1) didn't respond the latest on the heavy but had been threatening prior. Gets the blinkers first time and comes back to the mile. She will be positioned handy from the rail and can make the finish. PARIS SHIRAZ (11) is building and was just beaten at Geelong. That stacks up and the step-up in trip will suit. ROYAL RIFT (12) is an improver and gets a low barrier and blinker first time. Can fill a slot.
SELECTIONS: Backing Salto Angel.
