Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 20.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Geelong, Ipswich, Naracoorte and Northam.
RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 4 @ 3:50 PM
The penny has dropped for DELEXO (1) this time in who has posted two wins and a second from three outings. Has a very good record over this sprint trip with three wins and two placings from six attempts and from an astute barn. Rates the testing material. OH PLEASE DIANNA (2) was thereabouts in a Midway last time out and her form prior was very consistent for a race like this. Expected to give a sight. The well-named LENNON (5) out of the mare Tragic Moment gets 2kg off with the claim and can play a role in the finish. TEJORI (9) resumes here and has a very good first-up record with two wins and a placing from three fresh efforts. In the mix. AKASAKI (3) best of the rest on the back of a last-start third.

GEELONG: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM
RIVER TWAIN (4) resumes in a very winnable race. Winner fresh around here first up last preparation and went on to run some good races against better horses than he meets here. Should be able to slide into a positive spot. Great chance to kick off a winner. CRESTANI (6) has the pick of the recent form. Been very consistent of late and close up to a good winner last time despite things going against in the running. REDSNAP (9) and MRS SIPPY (10) are both first up here with claims. Both were fresh winners last time around.
SELECTIONS: River Twain can be a cut above these.
IPSWICH: RACE 6 @ 4:30 PM
VAPORIZING (3) was just beaten twice in town before delivering in the 62 improving again. Has been heavily-bet and Maloney rides from a low gate. The gelding can win again for the premier barn. MARRIED TO THE MOB (2) deserved the win here this grade. That stacks right up and he gets weight relief with the 3kg claim. A player. CLAIRVUE STAR (4) was just nudged out here resuming in the 68 and that also reads well. Keeps Orman and fitter is a chance to go one better. RED RUBI (5) is racing well but has to manage a sticky gate.
SELECTIONS: Backing Vaporising.
NARACOORTE: RACE 6 @ 3:50 PM
EL MAGNIFICENCE (6) is a leader seeking the hat-trick off a 3.8L win at Balaklava. Gets plenty of weight relief at this level and can go on with it drawn to advantage. REAL VALENTIA (8) runs along and has been good both runs back. He has plenty up the sleeve and gets a 5kg weight drop. RHYTHMATIC (2) is a veteran and was back to his best placing second at Penola behind Ranger Frank. Has the outside gate but fitter is a hope. WILD WILLY (4) won the CL2 here first-up and is improved. Draws out but is capable of making the board.
SELECTIONS: Backing El Magnificence.
NARACOORTE: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
CARTIER TIARA (5) has been threatening in better races and go on the half-length defeat at Oakbank two-starts back. Gets a soft run and Gatt sticking is a plus. The one to beat. EQUICHUNK (6) was plainer at Penola off the string of near misses. Finds a touch easier and can bounce with the 2kg claim. AMUSING MAGNUS (3) didn't miss by far second-up and is improved. Draws to advantage and is in the mix. TITAN I AM (4) hasn't won for a long while but resumes off a 3L Penola trial win. Gets a handy gate and the hoop is the highest striker at this track. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Cartier Tiara.
NORTHAM: RACE 4 @ 2:54 PM
REAL DANGER (6) is quick and missed a lip here before coming back and winning the Maiden by a space heavily-bet. Keeps Pike and fitter rates to take the next step. STRIKE (1) hasn't won for a while but led and missed a lip here resuming and is back on track. Uses the rail and gets in well with the 2kg claim. Will have come on and should go close. POWERFUL (3) has been busting to win and draws to advantage with a 3kg claim. Is back to a shorter sprint on a 7-day return and is a player. RED INFERNO (2) resumes off a trial and is in the mix if presented forward.
SELECTIONS: Backing Real Danger to win.
