Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 29.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Cranbourne, Kilmore, Bordertown, Kilcoy, Moree, and wagga.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 3 @ 6:15 PM

The well-related MY BRILLIANT CHOIX (10) is unlucky to still be a maiden placing in five of her nine career starts to date. Has placed three from three over the mile and will be rock-hard fit for this. Expected to be right there when the whips are cracking. COGENT (3) has placed two from three at this circuit and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Drawn to get a cosy run from the inside alley and looms as the main threat. SUMMERHILL (9) improved sharply to finish third at Mornington last start and can earn some minor money. INTERNATIONAL GEM (4) has had plenty of chances but is usually thereabouts and is one for the exotics. ROMANIA (8) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: My Brilliant Choix to win.

BORDERTOWN: RACE 5 @ 3:50 PM

FIVE POCKET (6) won comfortably at Gawler and then was out-graded in town and forget. The speedy galloper is fourth up now and draws to advantage with a handy 3kg claim. She can bounce back. DASKULYA (10) resumes and has won fresh. Will be competitive if presented forward. GYPSY CROWN (8) was an easy Maiden winner at Penola and can build on that. BARACONI (7) will be better for the first-up run at Murray Bridge in stronger. Draws out but gets Gatt for the apprentice and quick improvement is likely.
SELECTIONS: Backing Five Pocket.

KILCOY: RACE 5 @ 3:53 PM

GLOBAL FACTOR (5) has been knocking on the door in stronger races. Has a low gate and handy claim and won't get a better chance to break back into the winners circle. VON SAGA (4) has been close-up the last two and is back in grade. Is on an 8-day return and the 2kg claimer will position her handy. A player. DREAM WEAVING (2) led and was only beaten 2.1L at Ipswich in a better show of form. Gets in well this level with the 3kg claim and is in the mix dipping to a shorter sprint. DREAMALINA (12) improved beaten 1.8L at Toowoomba and is in the mix at a price. SELECTIONS: Backing Global Factor to win.

KILMORE: RACE 4 @ 2:10 PM

BEAU JASPER (3) hasn't been far away the two runs back both in stronger grade. He draws to advantage with a 2kg claim and the blinkers are applied first time. In a top barn and is the one to beat. JUST STELLAR (6) is a veteran who's never raced better. He will use the rail and up again to the mile won't bother. SECOND NATURE (4) won the Maiden at this distance and then was plain before the nose defeat in the CL1 at Echuca. He can make the finish again. SOLEIL DE LUNE (1) is in the premier barn and has been struggling to find his best. Drops in class and the 1.5kg claim helps some with the weight lift. An improved effort is on the cards.
SELECTIONS: Backing Beau Jasper to win.

MOREE: RACE 6 @ 4:04 PM

A bit to learn here with a few on debut. THE BIG SEAL (2) is unlucky to still be a maiden with two handy seconds to start the career. Gets the services of Looker in the irons and drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Is clearly the one to beat. SNOWDROP (8) has placed three from six over this trip and gets 2kg off with the claim. In the mix. The well-related SUNGBLUE (9) has shown enough in both trial victories to warrant serious consideration in this. PUCKER UP PALMER (6) can run a race on debut. MOOKI BEAUTY (11) best of the rest with the claim. SELECTIONS: The Big Seal to win.

WAGGA: RACE 3 @ 2:35 PM

TWIG (5) is promising and won as expected here before missing a lip at Albury. Fitter now and the step-up to the mile will suit. In a sharp Canberra barn and Penza's booking is a decent push for her chances. SHAFTY (8) is still a Maiden but was just beaten here this distance 13 days ago. Peaks and can't be ruled out with Cahill sticking. PILLAR OF STRENGTH (1) won the Maiden here sitting handier and is in the mix building on that. SHADOW OF MORDOR (2) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Backing Twig to win.
