Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 4.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Flemington, Hawkesbury, Wangaratta, Ipswich, Gawler and Belmont Park.
FLEMINGTON: RACE 6 @ 3:50 PM
MALKOVICH (8) just found one better resuming at Caulfield. Big run off a break all the same and his second up record says he can build on that now. Two from two second up from a break and doubt he has to step up much - if at all - on the return to be winning this. VARDA (11) ran a poor one at Caulfield but pulled up with excuses there. Can be a sharp improver this time around and looks a good winning chance. New yard for WRITTEN BEAUTY (10) but she will be looking to produce old tricks; winning down the straight at the Carnival. She has a hope along with STARRY LEGEND (15).
SELECTIONS: Right race for Malkovich.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:00 PM
HYPNOSIS (2) has placed in three out of four starts to date and strikes a very winnable affair here. Will strip fitter second-up from a long spell and has placed over this journey. Well-placed and will take plenty of catching. FIRST PEOPLES (1) is facing the starter for the first time but won't need to be a superstar to be competitive against this lot. Did win a recent trial here and any moves in betting must be respected. IMPERIAL WOLF (3) won a recent Rosehill trial and can run a race from the low draw. ZOHAN (5) is from a good barn and may earn some minor money. BECOMING SCARLETT (6) best of the rest in a race with only a couple of chances.
SELECTIONS: Hypnosis to win.
WANGARATTA: RACE 2 @ 2:11 PM
BEANS (7) improved at Bendigo over 1400m. Fitter and the mile will suit. Well placed and looks the one to beat. CHAOTIC CRANACH (8) will be close to peak fitness. Got too far back at Benalla and draws better today. A player. FINANZA D'ORO (5) debuted at The Valley and looked in need of it. Has since delivered an easy trial win and quick improvement is on the cards. PARRAMATTA (2) run along and will be fitter. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Beans.
IPSWICH: RACE 2 @ 2:10 PM
SHE'S A TIGRESS (3) raced favourite and made a ratings spike winning easily in the Sunshine Coast 60. Will use the low barrier and keeps the 3kg claim. The one to beat again. MOTOMISS (1) won the CL3 by a space at Toowoomba. That also stacks up and fitter she'll go close. ASHZAYA (2) resumed with the 68 win here and then was out-graded at Doomben and forget. Has won third-up and gets in well with the 2kg claim. MASTER RED (4) has threatened the last two and can't be ruled out with the big weight drop in this grade.
SELECTIONS: Backing She's A Tigress.
GAWLER: RACE 1 @ 12:57 PM
WERTHEIMER (4) trialled well and was wide resuming for the new barn over the mile. Was well-supported and earlier this year was only beaten 1.5L at this trip in the Group 2 Champion Stakes in Auckland NZ. That would easily win this. He presents fitter with a key jockey switch to Pannell. Should be winning. HARRY HOT PANTS (2) won the Maiden well three-back and hasn't had the best of it the two since. Draws well and can improve into the finish. ANTONELLA (7) switched from NSW and needed the first-up outing at 1800m. She has plenty up the sleeve and the rise in distance suits. DOROTHY ROSE (8) keeps threatening and is in the mix on the 8-day return.
SELECTIONS: Hard to go past Wertheimer.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 5 @ 3:50 PM
ANTIQUE JEWEL (4) has been thereabouts in all three runs this time in and will nearing her peak now fourth-up. Pike has had six steers for five placings and has placed at this track. Looks the one they all have to run down. CIRCLE THE SUN (5) was a close-up second over this journey last start and gets 3kg off with the claim. Can play a major role in the finish. ACE PLACE (1) looked very good winning over this trip last time out and will take some confidence from that victory. In the mix. ROGUES POINT (3) doesn't win out of turn but rarely runs a bad race and is a must for the multiples. DANCE OF THE SOUTH (8) best of the rest in a race with a long tail.
