Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 9.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gosford, Hamilton and Townsville. 

GOSFORD: RACE 5 @ 3:35 PM

FREEDOM SQUARE (1) hasn't done much wrong with two wins and three placings from six starts to date. Only narrowly went down in a Randwick Highway last time out and gets plenty of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Is clearly the one they all have to run down. SHE'S INDEPENDENT (6) has been thereabouts in recent outings and is drawn to get a cosy run for Duggan from gate two. Looks a threat. DONE GOOD (9) has placed on all going and will be rock-hard fit for this. In the mix. FOXTROT BRAVO (3) strips fitter third-up from the spell and can earn a cheque. PATRINA (5) doesn't win out of turn but has placed at this circuit and is one for the exotics.

HAMILTON: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM

TILL IT'S OVER (7) placed in better grade second-up lifting to this trip. He gets back but will be fitter again and can come over the top of them. BILLY MAV (2) is a stablemate who returned to racing in good order. The mile suits and he has more to give. PRISTINE IMAGE (3) improved again winning easily this grade the latest. In good hands and will be fancied to win again with Yendall sticking. POPPY JOAN (6) resumes for the State's leading barn. She is good on the fresh side and has shown enough to be a player.
SELECTIONS: Backing Till It's Over.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM

RUN RAMPANT (2) has just been nudged out the last two and is on an upward trajectory. Draws for the run of the race and can record a deserved victory. MIGHTY MARMALADE (8) has been racing honestly but finds it hard to win. Gets a leading hoop today and can make the finish. KARBORS (4) is third up off good efforts at the non-tabs. The wide gate is against but he's in the mix. SHEEZ MARVELLOUS (9) returned to the race track in good order at Ewan and has won a trial here since. Fitter and can fill a slot.
