Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 12.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Sandown-Hillside, Eagle Farm, Morphettville, Gold Coast, and Belmont Park.
RANDWICK: RACE 9 @ 4:20 PM
BLONDEAU (10) went enormous first up before simply left with too much to do last start behind I Am Power. Closed off well all things considered and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip. Likely to get back from the draw but hoping he can get into the race early enough, if so he looks hard to beat. CANASTA (5) went very well first up when finishing second behind Dream Circle. Can only improve off that and should give them all something to run down. CRIMINAL CODE (7) is likely to go right back from the draw but certainly caught the eye first up and is one to follow. CISCO BAY (8) will relish the conditions and appears the next in line in his return.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Blondeau stepping up in trip.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 7 @ 3:25 PM
Really liked the first up win from SEB SONG (3) but he was unable to back that up around Caulfield last time. Flat run but the track was fairly quick there and he might just be better served by softer conditions today. Real talent when right and think he can bounce back and beat these. LITERATI (8) comes off a win. More to take down this time but strong yard and worth respecting. Both STANDOFF (6) and SEINERS EXPRESS (13) will balance up and rattle late from back in the field. Draws ensure they will be left needing to run them down but both close quickly. FAC (11) won his maiden well and is respected.
SELECTIONS: Softer ground can bring out the best in the handy Seb Song.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 6 @ 2:33 PM
GARIBALDI (9) looks primed after two good runs since a spell. Ran on to just miss fresh then was a solid fourth in G3 company. Back in grade and proven third up so gets his chance to strike. GEE TEE TEE (11) was an impressive winner last time over 1110m at Doomben, where he got back but wound up hard to score a 2.3 length win. Kept up to the mark with a trial since. Threat. AWAY GAME (6) is a good filly resuming. If she brings her best it measures right up. KING OF HASTINGS (4) has won a trial since his first up showing so can improve.
SELECTIONS: Garibaldi is ready to win third up.
MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 2 @ 11:55 AM
MISTY TRAILS (10) then could be in the right spot over the short course. She should be able to improve in this maiden. ROYAL OBSESSION (11) will be a strong player here after running fav almost a year ago. She led that day but might sit outside the front here. Carries no weight. DELTA RIVER (7) was close up in her trial recently. The breed often improve with racing but watch the market. KZSCZOT (1) probably will be hitting the line but does draw well. MISS LANGTRY (8) has shown that she is capable of placing.
SELECTIONS: Royal Obsession a bet here.
GOLD COAST: RACE 3 @ 12:21 PM
FLEETINGLY (8) has been thereabouts without winning placing in the top four at five of her seven starts. Has placed over this distance and will be nearing peak fitness fourth-up from the spell. Looks the hardest to beat in this field. NOKONDI (10) was a solid second here two starts back and is drawn to get a gun run from the inside stall. Gets 1.5kg off with the claim and looms as the main danger. AGENT NINETY NINE (9) wasn't disgraced in town last time out and will find this much easier. Has to be respected. ROMAN HEIR (2) has been in the top four at three of his four starts and is right in the mix again. APPLICATIONS (1) has tuned up for this with an easy trial and is one for the multiples.
SELECTIONS: Fleetingly to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 8 @ 3:55 PM
THE VELVET KING (3) was a dominant winner at his first run back in WA against many of these rivals and the extra 200m only aids him. Will take plenty of beating. LEADING GIRL (13) swept home from well back to score an easy first-up win at 1400m. First try at this level but promising and sure to run well. DANCE MUSIC (11) has been placed in both runs back and while no match for the winner last time can feature in the finish. DIG DEEP (6) and VALOUR ROAD (1) are among the chances.
SELECTIONS: The Velvet King to win.
