Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 20.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Bathurst, Tamworth and Terang.
BATHURST: RACE 1 @ 1:50 PM
SHYLOCK (3) wasn't far away when third last time at Wagga, beaten 1.8L. Rates on top here and will be hard to hold out. GENGHIS KHAN (1) could only manage a midfield finish when resuming on a Heavy Mudgee surface. Steps out in trip this time and presents a winning hope. ROSIE IMPACT (10) is the best of the rest. Gets in well at the weights and draws the pole. Top three prospect.
SELECTIONS: Backing Shylock.

TAMWORTH: RACE 2 @ 2:10 PM
SO COUNTRY (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden with three runner-up finishes to start the career. Will be near his peak now and Morgan has been in the irons for two of those placings and sticks. Rates the testing material. KLINSMANN (5) wasn't disgraced when fifth on debut at Scone and will take plenty from that race day experience. Can improve sharply and is expected to feature. TAKING THE MIKKI (7) has placed in both starts to date when well in the market and can play a role again. REGGIE'S BOY (6) was okay at Port Macquarie first time at the races before being tipped out for time to mature. Can run a race first-up. HARD TO DISMISS (11) has placed over the trip and may earn a cheque.
SELECTIONS: So Country to win.
TERANG: RACE 2 @ 1:30 PM
KADENA (14) stands out. He's speedy and has just-missed all three runs. Finds easier and the Bates-Smith linkage is potent. Has a future. GOLDEN DANCER (10) led and was got to late on debut beaten 2L. There was a lot to like about that and he draws to advantage. Fitter she can improve into the finish. WHAT HAPPENED (7) is a former HK galloper resuming for a sharp barn. Owns a trial win and expect a bold return despite the sticky barrier. CROC LURKIN' (2) resumes and has shown enough to suggest he'll be very competitive. Yendall is a key jockey booking.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Kadena.
