Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 27.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Ballina, Sapphire Coast, Stony Creek, Sunshine Coast and Naracoorte.
MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 4 @ 3:50 PM
COSSIE (3) has been in career-best form with two wins and four placings from his past six starts. Has a win and two placings from four starts around this circuit and gets 4kg off with the claim. Looks a top chance again on recent efforts. GREY ENUFF (5) looked good winning on debut and his two subsequent outings have been full of merit. Rates a genuine top-three contender. OLD TIMING MAN (1) has really hit his straps of late with two consecutive victories. Is one from one around this circuit and is expected to be competitive. BEAN FOGGY (4) draws the inside for McGuren and should be in it for a very long way. SHIRAZZLE (6) has placed two from three second-up and can earn a cheque.

STONY CREEK: RACE 8 @ 5:20 PM
HIGH DONE (6) found his best form two starts ago when a easy winner after drifting in the market. He backed that up with a narrow second last start when only fading late. He won't have to work too hard to take up his favoured position on speed from the inside gate and is easy to like. CRAFTY EFFORT (4) is another on speed runner who has appreciated getting onto firmer footing at his past two starts when close up. He's likely to get similar conditions here and looms as a danger. UNCONQUERED SUN (2) wasn't disgraced in a good race in town last start after a narrow win in this grade two starts ago. Include among the main hopes. REAL THINKER (3) has been thereabouts at his past three starts and appeals each way with Newitt going on. ROEDERER (8) just missed last start and isn't without a chance, despite rising slightly in distance.
SELECTIONS: High Done can go one better. Save on Crafty Effort.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:14 PM
ZINGALONG (3) strode forward early from his wide draw over 1000m at this track last time only to fade late and finish fifth. Drops from a Class 4 that day to a Class 2 today. Has a good record here at this journey with two wins and four placings from eight starts. Big run expected. ONE SHY RUBY (9) resumes. Yet to win when fresh but generally runs well with two placings from three tries. Has a decent record at this track with a win and two placings from four starts. Likely to feature. DECEMBER DIAMOND (6) resumes. Impressed in the maiden prep with two wins from three starts. Looks ready for a big return following recent trial success. DURUNDUR LAD (4) is struggling to break through. Returns to his home track after recording three placings from six appearances this preparation. In the mix. MISS FLAWLESS (7) is a top-four chance second up from an extended layoff.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on #3 Zingalong.
NARACOORTE: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
YOWZA (3) has ability and tried hard behind Modric at Strathalbyn last time. He was placed behind Wheels Of Courage five runs back which is good form for a race like this. WEST CLIFF (5) was runner-up behind Disco Tilmorn at Penola four runs back and must be respected here. HASTA LA PRINCE (2) trialled OK behind Liberty Power at Penola for his debut and must be respected. NANCY MAY (11) has been placed at two of eight starts the latest here behind Gatsbys Girl two starts back and draws the inside.
SELECTIONS: Yowza to break through here.
