Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 30.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Werribee, Coffs Harbour, Belmont Park and Rockhampton.
WERRIBEE: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
THE PSYCHOLOGIST (9) ran easily the best race of his five-start career when a fast-finishing second over this trip at Moonee Valley last start. Won't find this as tough, with an awkward gate perhaps his biggest hurdle. THINK BOLD (10) is back from a 24-week spell. Tackled an 1800m race at Flemington on debut and just passed a couple of tired ones in the lane after settling back; has not raced since. Won a recent trial so worth considering in this far easier assignment. LITTLE VISTA (8) ended a run of three straight seconds with a poor effort in heavy going at Sale last time. Worth another chance back on firmer footing. MAGIC HAMMER (3) is a stayer resuming from a four-month spell. Will be better for the run but he is honest and could run a cheeky race while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Hard to go past #9 The Psychologist.

COFFS HARBOUR: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM
ENDANGERED SPECIES (2) got the job done at Lismore last time out and looks ready to go on with it now. Has placed four from four around this circuit and will be right there when the whips are cracking. LUZ LONG (1) rarely runs a bad race and will get a soft run in transit from the inside alley. Looks a major threat. CRAZEELIL (6) has a win and a placing from three runs at this track and has winning claims. FIOR THE TIGER (11) best of the rest on the back of a last-start victory.
SELECTIONS: Endangered Species to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 7 @ 5:37 PM
TAPICONIC (3) was far too strong scoring easily at Pinjarra over 1406m last time and the mile should hold no fears. Gets his chance to repeat. ARNO THE FOX (6) is racing well and while he comes off a short break he's drawn nicely and sure to be competitive again. REBEL HEART (7) is fitter for a recent trial and while she's first-up she could easily be placed fresh. NEW AMSTERDAM (1) and OFF WEGO (4) are next best.
SELECTIONS: Tapiconic to win. Trifecta 3-1,4,6,7/1,4,6,7.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 4 @ 2:20 PM
SURMISE (5) resumes following a 61 day spell and from his good draw should go a bold race fresh-up. Finished third of seven last start at Coffs Harbour after getting sent out as the $1.70 favourite. Looks the one to beat. MY MATE VINNY (3) came home well here last start to finish third of seven runners after getting held-up with 400m to run. Finds himself in an ideal race to run out his maiden tag. IL CALZINO (2) weakened out to finish fifth of 12 here last start when trying to lead all the way. Drawn to get the lead again today and will strip fitter. Good each-way show. SHE JUST SAID IT (12) ran sixth of 10 here when fresh-up last start beaten 1.75 lengths over 1050m. With 250m more in distance today she should be coming home well enough to run a place.
SELECTIONS: 'Surmise', no need to, back him to win.
