Racing today is headlined by Sunday at Moonee Valley and the Country Championships Qualifier at Moruya.

MORUYA: RACE 7 @ 4:45 PM

EASTERN GLOW (7) is an above average gelding racing well through his grades. Has been kept fresh for this after charging late for a gritty win over 1500m at Rosehill in Highway grade to make it two wins from three runs this time in. Billy Owen is back on after winning when resuming here on December 18. Will take plenty of stopping from the draw. TESTATOR SILENS (1) has a solid record of five wins from 11 starts. Drops many grades here after resuming with a sound seventh over 1200m in the G3 Southern Cross Stakes at Randwick behind Quantico. Expected to figure prominently in the finish. MANDERBOSS (3) has drawn poorly here but has a distinct fitness edge over most of these. Drifted back at latest when found the line late to run fourth over 1600m at Canberra. Has the ability to overcome the wide gate and go close. ARNAQUEUR (9) is an underrated gelding returning from a spell of nine weeks. Has excellent fresh stats and brings strong figures here. Don't underestimate. SELECTIONS: Eastern Glow to win.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 5 @ 3:45 PM

CEASAR (8) has been thereabouts of late and is unlucky not to have scored more than once, suffering a few narrow defeats. Possesses good early dash and is drawn low. Sure to be in this for a long way. GOLDEN CRUSADER (3) resumes and is a first-up winner. Kicks off over a winning trip and gets the key booking of Jamie Kah. Sticky alley the only knock. GLITTER 'N' GOLD (10) hasn't taken a step wrong in her last two, scoring eye-catching wins in both. Gets weight relief and can win again. WESTBROOK PARK (5) warrants respecting off the back of his dominant last start victory. Tougher this time but can play a role. SELECTIONS: Siding with Ceasar.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 2:10 PM

STUCK IN A DREAM (4) didn't manage the heavy as favourite at Grafton off the first-up maiden win at Eagle Farm. He's trialled since and gets the key jockey switch to Maloney. Fitter and a terrific chance to bounce back and knock this off. Well within range. OUR ROCKETMAN (1) deserved the maiden win here and has more to offer. Finally has a low gate and is capable of using it. SOOBLOND (3) has been around the mark in her latest couple and she stacks up on the back of those. SELECTIONS: Backing Stuck In A Dream.

BORDERTOWN: RACE 3 @ 2:45 PM

REALTIN (4) was not too far away on debut in a much stronger field and then went for a spell that would have done him the world of good. He has a quiet trial leading into his return and he should be very hard to beat, especially from the inside gate. LOTZA BUBBLES (10) ran on late at her debut and is set for a big effort after a recent trial in which she had an easy time of it. Include in all multiples. LEAF (1) shows speed and should be peaking third up. Each-way chance in a field that lacks any real depth. OPPORTUNE CHANCE (12) won a trial prior to being trapped off the track on debut. She has had a good spell since then and in this sort of field, she is worth a look at big odds. SELECTIONS: Realtin to win.

COLAC: RACE 4 @ 3:30 PM

REVOLUTIONIST (6) won the 58 as expected and then was beaten a nose at Moe. Races handy and keeps improving. The one to beat and deserves to go round tight at the top of the market. EXPECT THE BEST (1) resumes for the new barn and is a fresh winner who will be around the mark with natural improvement. TOKELAU DRIFT (3) is the other one to be wary of. Resumes from a spell for a new yard and has shown glimpses of talent. SELECTIONS: Backing Revolutionist.

ESPERANCE: RACE 5 @ 3:25 PM

SATURDAY SUN (6) is going to be hard to beat following a last start victory over 1100m when sent out as the odds- on favourite. He made up solid ground to score and will be storming home late again. Well placed to repeat the dose. LEADING MAN (3) is racing in strong form having won once and placed second four times in his last five starts. He tried to lead all of the way last time out but was nabbed right on the line to be beaten a nose. Will be looking to lead again today and if allowed to dictate his own pace should be hard to run-down. SHORT TALK (1) disappointed last start when finishing sixth over 1000m and was then put out for a spell. He races well fresh-up and has solid place claims. PRINCE SAIYAN (11) resumed from a spell last start and went a bold race to finish second over 1000m. Strips fitter today and should be included in combinations. SELECTIONS: Saturday Sun to win.

GRAFTON: RACE 3 @ 2:25 PM

INDY ROSE WARRIOR (6) looks very hard to beat. She's always shown a bit of talent in her Victorian days and didn't take long to make her winning debut for the Shailer stable, taking care of a Taree maiden in fine style. She'll settle near the speed and go close. BELLZEN (3) won his maiden at Lismore two back before a solid effort at Coffs Harbour in a tougher race. This looks a nice race for him. DREAMDEEL (1) struggled last start at Wyong but was good prior at Bathurst and looks suited here. BERKINSON (4) has placed in both runs back and looks set to peak third up. SHE'S ENUFF (9) has switched stables and her best form would be competitive. SELECTIONS: Indy Rose Warrior to win.
