The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal has delivered its decision in respect of the two disciplinary matters involving thoroughbred trainer Darryl Hansen.

In respect of the TC02 positive from Hussonator at the Mackay Turf Club on July 9, 2011, the Tribunal dismissed the appeal by Hansen against the previous QCAT decision.

Therefore the stewards' decision that Hansen be disqualified for six months was effectively confirmed.

Hansen's disqualification commences today (December 21, 2011) and lasts until midnight June 21, 2012.

In respect of the prednisone positive from Essington at the Rockhampton Jockey Club on June 23, 2011, the Tribunal also dismissed the appeal and in doing so, confirmed the fine of $6000 previously imposed by QCAT.
