2019 VRC Pin & Win Partnership

3 minute read

The Victoria Racing Club has announced Very Special Kids as the new Pin & Win charity partner for 2019.

Pin & Win is the flagship VRC annual charity fundraiser. Since 1995 it has given charities the platform to raise more than $5.7 million through the sale of Lexus Melbourne Cup souvenir pins, helping to change lives and support the community.

Very Special Kids is the 15th charity to partner with the VRC, with the Pin & Win partnership to support an upgrade of Very Special Kids’ children’s hospice at Malvern where it cares for children with life-threatening conditions and provides much-needed family support services.

VRC Chief Executive Officer Neil Wilson said the Club was delighted to welcome Very Special Kids as the new Pin & Win partner.

“The VRC is proud to partner with Very Special Kids for the first time and we encourage everyone who enjoys the Melbourne Cup Carnival to purchase a pin to support this charity and its important work caring for children with life-threatening conditions and their families,” Mr Wilson said.

Very Special Kids CEO Michael Wasley said, “Very Special Kids is extremely proud to partner with the VRC.

“The current hospice is over 20 years old and requires an upgrade so we can stay up-to-date with the best clinical and support enhancements.

“By purchasing a 2019 Lexus Melbourne Cup pin, you are helping to support this upgrade to ensure our hospice continues to meet all individual family needs well into the future.”

The Pin & Win campaign will commence in early September with pins available at Flemington and a range of retail outlets.
