Michael Wood will take over as Randwick racecourse manager after being promoted by the Australian Turf Club.

Wood will replace Nevesh Ramdhani, who was recently appointed ATC general manager of racecourses following the retirement of Lindsay Murphy.

Wood worked as Ramdhani's understudy for the past 18 months and has worked at the ATC for six years.

Dave Morrison will fill his former role as deputy racecourse manager, with both beginning their new roles on August 1 along with Ramdhani.
