Love this meeting every year and while not able to held at Scone the fields have certainly held up across the board.
Judging by Racing Twitter I'm not on my own in finding Prime Star but you will struggle to find a better placed horse on Saturday.
Set to line up in the Scone Guineas the Richard and Michael Freedman trained galloper has shown good ability in his 12 starts, despite only notching up the two wins.
Last preparation he placed in two of three attempts including the Hobartville, form which leaves him very well placed on the weekend.
He is proven on all conditions and felt his sole trial in the lead up was very good when finding the line nicely under Berry.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he looks to hold a clear edge and if able to run up to or near his peak he should take plenty of beating.
An eye catcher in both the Birthday Card Stakes and Sapphire Stakes her performance behind Sweet Deal last start was also hard to miss.
A noted backmarker she has just left her run too late but hoping from the middle draw she can settle a few pairs closer.
On form she rates clear of Count De Rupee and with even luck she should get her chance to work home over the top of them.
I will be saving on Count De Rupee but my best way home will be Air To Air.
Backmarkers are always heart in your mouth stuff but much like Prime Star she just looks too well placed back in grade and I'm happy to take the gamble on her.
