Tiger Roar To Keep Raising The Bar

3 minute read

Progressive three-year-old Tiger Roar has won his last three straight and appears poised to continue that winning streak at Kranji on Saturday.

A winner of four of his seven starts, Tiger Roar has continued to make good improvement and while rising 2.5kg at the weights, he still looks well placed.

A sectional star throughout his career, his performance in beating Gold Star last start was a lot better than just the narrow margin.

Settled towards the rear over 1400m he really had to let rip in the straight recording the fastest 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m splits of the meeting.

His last 200m was ~2.5L faster than anything else on the card giving every indication he'll be even better at a mile.

Already an impressive winner over 1800m last preparation he is clearly a three-year-old trending in the right direction and looks destined for better company.

Leading trainer Michael Clements has a knack for bringing these horses on slowly and Tiger Roar certainly has a promising future.

From the draw he is likely to get back in the field, but has the talent to work home over the top of them.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he still looks well placed and with even luck he should take plenty of beating.

Fellow last start winner Wind Trail shapes as the main danger having won well at this track over 1800m last start.

Kept on the fresh side (49 days) the drop back to the mile should suit and he rates as a big threat with Mark Lerner sticking aboard.

The Michael Clements trained Elite Incredible wasn't beaten far behind Tiger Roar in his stable debut and also has to come into calculations.

Although not a prolific winner (1/19) he is more than capable on best form and from the good draw he looks to get every chance.

Of the rest last start winner King's Command appears the next in line.

Never easy making the jump in class but he rates well and has to be included in the main hopes.

Good luck and happy punting.
