Best From The West - November 8

3 minute read

The Grant Williams trained Disposition appears poised to remain unbeaten, when set to contest the sixth event at Ascot on Saturday.

Undefeated in three career starts, the son of Reset has proven very impressive, having won the Listed Belgravia Stakes with ease last start.

Displaying a sharp turn of foot, Disposition beat his rivals pointlessly and should relish the step up to 1400m.

He is currently the early favourite for the WA Guineas, with fellow leading contenders Outlaw Pete and Tonto both taking their place on the weekend.

Using Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Disposition has a distinct edge and hard to suggest he will be taking a backwards step.

He has continued to make impressive ratings spikes and is bred to be at his best at a mile and beyond.

Both Outlaw Pete and Tonto have a fair bit of improvement to find and while obviously capable, it remains hard to see them upstaging Disposition.

Currently installed the 2-1 favourite, appears more than a worthy gamble, given if priced aggressively, we can get him as short as $1.90.

Likely to settle just off midfield from the awkward draw, Disposition should prove very hard to hold out.

The Alan Matthews trained Cyber Crime showed sharp improvement in the Northam Cup last start and appears set to peak racing in the fifth event.

Sticking on solidly behind Son Of Something and Rebelson, Cyber Crime now meets both rivals on far better weight terms.

In six attempts racing third up, Cyber Crime has placed on four occasions and should improve further stepping up in trip.

Currently installed a $15 chance appears a more than fair gamble as if able to repeat the level of his last start performance, he should be right around the mark.

From the inside draw, he appears to get a gun run in transit and should be in this for a long way.

BET OF THE DAY: Race 6 #1 Disposition @ $3.00

EACH-WAY PLAY: Race 5 #5 Cyber Crime @ $15.00
