It wasn’t much of a price but Samartested got the job done for us last week. This week we see the start of the Adelaide Cup lead-ups.

And we think this will be a nice card for the flying Freedman stable.

Inishowen is yet another of these improving young horses from that team.

She has clearly enjoyed getting out in trip and hit the line powerfully along the inside at Flemington.

While acknowledging it was a fillies and mares race and this is against the boys, this can hardly be construed as a strong black type race.

She is hard fit and the stable would be looking for a soft win at this standard for her future.

Happy to stick with inform participants and in doing so the three year old filly Marrakesh will take some beating, especially if the leaders are able to race well on the main track.

She is bred to be good, has kept improving this time in and loves the short course.

The vast majority of the field are either first or second up while she has had a good grounding.

The yard have always had a good record heading to Adelaide with these types of horses.
