Early Mail and Blackbook Update For December 10

3 minute read

Early mail and Blackbook Update for Rosehill on December 10.

ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 2 (3) ACHI BABA: There’s a lot of his sire Helmet in this promising 3YO and being gelded after his first prep may be the making of him judging by the way he put away a a handy Newcastle maiden field by more than four lengths when resuming over 1350m four weeks ago. Suspect Godolphin have some high expectations for him and like the way he hasn’t been rushed since his first-up win with a soft second in a Randwick trial on November 29 a positive sign that he has made the right progress.

RACE 5: (5) OUR RENAISSANCE: Good short course mare was in hot form when she resumed off a seven months spell with a sharp 1000m win over a strong field at Muswellbrook on November 25. She went out with a win over this course and distance in May and looks great value at her early odds as she maps to get on pace cover in a race full of speed.

RACE 8 (14) MOST EXALTED: Hard to miss his unlucky first-up third over 1400m at this course on November 19 when he made up many lengths to just miss behind the in-form pair Choice We Had and Sir Plush. He’s a typical Street Cry gelding, giving the impression he will get better with maturity and his obvious scope for improvement off his strong return points to a successful campaign.
