It is Morphettville Guineas day on Saturday and looks a good Adelaide program.

In the big race, Mutamayel heads over from Melbourne off two wins.

They have decided to run here instead of Moonee Valley and the mile is a perfect progression.

He is the half-brother to G1 winner Hampton Court so will enjoy the distance and gets a top run in transit off the inside draw.

The Snitzel colt will handle any type of ground as well.

Keen on backing Hussybay on resumption over the 1200m in Race 6.

He is unbeaten first up over this distance and got all the way to a Listed race in May when an excellent run in the Adelaide Guineas.

The four year old gets a cosy run off the inside draw and all he needs to do is get out in time.

He won’t have any worry on a softer surface either.

In a surprise result, the $18 chance Silent Command scored, his second win in six starts, his only other win being a maiden over 1600m at this track on 24 May. He settled in fifth place, improved (under riding) nearing the home turn, put in a good run from the 200m and finished too well to score nicely, handling the Soft7 conditions well. Bring Me Roses, a maiden filly having only her third start showed promising in running second. She settled in last place in the eight-horse field and ran on nicely (between runners) from the home turn showing potential in running on well, failing by only a half neck. Amerock raced outside the leader (Sky Punch), got to a narrow lead at the 200m and then battled on well for third. Evil Cry was handy fourth, briefly looked the winner when he got to the front in the straight before battling on for (3.1 lengths) fourth while the favourite, the Shadwell-raced colt Mutamayel was third on the rails but was under pressure on the Soft7 track coming to the home turn, racing below expectations in finishing (8.2 lengths) seventh and should appreciate returning to a firmer track.
