Best From The West - September 30

3 minute read

The Team Williams trained Bonny Be Good has mixed her form this time in but appeared back on track last start and should prove hard to beat in the fourth event.

An impressive winner first up, Bonny Be Good failed to fire at her next start before finishing third behind Pinzu last start.

Although still below her best, she closed off well and now appears set to peak racing fourth up.

On best form she is very well placed and from the inside draw she can settle closer to the speed.

Do concede Pinzu is a decent chance, however suspect Bonny Be Good is nearing her best form and as a result should have too much in the locker.

Team Williams is simply flying and obviously none riding better than the Wizard at present.

As much as $4.40 was bet about her chances and while that didn't last long, she still presents decent value at $3.20.

We have marked the clear favourite on Saturday and it's quite easy to mark her 5/4 — we suggest you take the early odds on offer.

The Neville Parnham trained Athlete is unbeaten this preparation and is a three-year-old heading the right way.

A narrow winner fresh, Athlete took a good step forward last start when working home strongly to salute at this track over 1400m.

Now appears set to relish the step up to the mile and while taking on the older horses, he is well placed down in the weights.

Early shoppers again got the spoils, however he still presents good value at his current quote ($3.30).
