Garry White’s stable star Generalissimo resumes this weekend but the Hawkesbury trainer’s immediate focus is on his home track meeting on Tuesday where he has hopes of multiple wins.

White stole the show at Hawkesbury’s January 24 meeting when he landed his first treble since 2012 from only four runners.

He backs up this time with five representatives and is going to the races with sound reasons to be confident the quintet will run well.

Four of White’s Hawkesbury representatives are raced by his long-standing client, Hobartville Stud’s Grahame Mapp, who also owns Generalissimo.

The talented four-year-old, a winner during The Championships at Royal Randwick last April and then very unlucky at home in the G3 Hawkesbury Guineas, begins a new campaign at Randwick on Saturday over 1200m.

Tye Angland, successful on him in two of his four wins so far, has the mount.

Two of White’s recent Hawkesbury winners Fifth Affair and Dunatun return on Tuesday along with stablemates Lady Chalfont, Redemption Road and Paris In May.

White rates Redemption Road as the pick of the bunch.

With Corey Brown suspended, White has called up Tim Clark to ride four of his horses, with stable apprentice Ashleigh Borg partnering Lady Chalfont.

These are his thoughts on his representatives:

LADY CHALFONT: “Hasn’t raced since last July but trialled well when second (to class sprinter Ball Of Muscle) at Hawkesbury on January 30 over 760m. Both her wins have been at home, but has never won first-up.

“Would prefer cut out of the ground, but comes in with only 50kg after Ashleigh’s claim. Will definitely take improvement from this run, but has got a chance in a small field.”

REDEMPTION ROAD: “Has raced only twice and went up to win last time at Hawkesbury but got lost and floated before finishing sixth. Fitter for that run and coming back from 1500m is a plus. Definitely a good chance.”

PARIS IN MAY: “A Duporth three-year-old having his first start. Has trialled alright, finishing second both times here over 760m last month. Still learning, but shows ability and has drawn favourably.”

FIFTH AFFAIR: “Finally broke through at home last month after five placings. Never easy to go straight to a Class 1 and win again, but she has raced in better class.

“Drawn awkwardly, but I can say she hasn’t gone backwards.”

DUNATUN: “Hasn’t gone backwards either, and going for a hat-trick after winning his last two starts here in December and again in January.

“Still a work in progress and it’s going to be tougher going up in class, but keeps improving and the 1400m shouldn’t be a problem.”
