While it is June Stakes and Stayer’s Cup day, we are going away from the Listed events for our plays.

On a wet track, more than happy to be tipping a horse on the back-up and that is the case with I Am Serious this week.

She has flashed home twice in a row now, just missing at Rosehill when giving away 6.5kg.

The most important factor is that she is three from three on affected ground and gets to Randwick where she is also one from one.

Certainly can’t see the mile being a hurdle given her finishing off of races and that in this race set up, she will never be too far away.

For the value, giving the in form Joe Pride team a go with Brook Magic on resumption over 1100m.

The filly has had two trials to prepare for this and has a very good first up record.

She enjoys wet ground and was even thought of enough by the stable to be tested at group level in the Spring.

With others in the race as last start winners, we could get some nice each way odds which is usually a good thing on wet ground.
