On a super day’s racing at the Valley, we are going out on a limb by tipping Darren Weir runners at odds for some value plays.

In the Atlantic Jewel for the fillies, Krone will be resuming and she had a top first campaign.

Her one crack at the Valley saw her beaten a nose coming from a long way back. She then won a Listed race and then placed in two Group 3s.

The 1200m does look right up her alley. As we inferred to start with, Darren Weir could train an octopus to win at the moment.

Mark Zahra should find a lovely spot from barrier four around midfield.

Onto Race 7 and while acknowledging this trip is too short, can easily see Peaceful State rattling home in the Chandler Macleod Stakes.

First up last time in he was so strong on the line and even though this is a totally different race, that extended Winter will do him no dramas. Those horses are often worth following early in the Spring.

He will be back in the field but as long as they can run on this meeting as compared to the last Valley card which was so fence biased, he is a huge value runner.

Looks a great each way play and with multiple runners, it’s never a bad thing to be backing one out of the market with the Weir team as we saw last week.
