Important Listed races highlight the Morphettville card on Saturday.

Really keen to back Demerara in one of those Listed races, the Wylie Handicap.

The first key to note on this Godolphin mare is that she is unbeaten first up after having two trials.

She will bounce and sit right on the speed and having the limit weight will let her use her turn of foot.

Like that they would have gone interstate with her given their group of mares, picking out a race to get more black type.

James Cummings has gotten Dom Tourneur to ride and at least from the draw, she can work her way over. The chute start is not bad for wide gates.

Earlier, coming off a strong country win, Circuleight can run a race with no weight on her back over the 2000m in Race 3.

Her Mum won an Oaks and is only now coming solid when upped in journey since joining Darren Weir.

These Adelaide tracks have not been hard which helps her and she won’t be pressured early so can balance up and work to the line.

After the claim, she carries nothing on her back and the inside draw gives her a soft run all the way.

Darren Weir-trained entire Holy Blade is now the winner of six of 13 starts after recording his first stakes win here. He settled in seventh place (between runners), got a split on turning for home, got to the front at the 100m and battled well to score by a very narrow margin. The top weight (60kg) Casino Wizard began well, had a good trip racing in third place on the rails, challenged at the 200m and kept fighting gamey for a close second after conceding 6kg to the winner. Carlingford showed good pace from his wide barrier (15) before racing third place (without cover). He then kept battling on well to take the minor placing, just in front of fourth-placed Desert Lashes who showed her customary place and lead until halfway down the straight.
