Last season’s Queensland Oaks heroine Winning Ways looks set to strike third up at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Winning Ways put the writing on the wall last start when she jumped in distance for a closing fourth in an effort that suggested she will be well placed in the Lexus Spring Cup over 2225m.

The mare was beaten less than 2L by the in-form Look Like Elvis on that occasion when rising almost 500m in trip second up so expect that run to have brought her on.

Winning Ways is unbeaten in two attempts at this journey including her Group 1 Oaks triumph so another step up in trip suits.

She also flies third up with two wins and a placing from three attempts so she looks ready to peak and win on Saturday.

Progressive gelding Get Stuck In has the ratings to go back to back in the www.brc.com.au Benchmark 85 over 1600m.

The Tony Gollan-trained five-year-old was tough when he led and fought strongly to score at Doomben over a similar trip last outing.

That was his third run back from a spell so should be at his peak now and will be fine with the switch back to Eagle Farm having won two of his four runs here.

Get Stuck In is now three from four at the mile and isn't too badly off at the weights after the claim of Baylee Nothdurft who is forming a good association with the gelding winning four of his seven rides.
