There is some Listed racing with a Derby trial on the Adelaide card on Saturday.
However our best is in the race before but she does have form from Melbourne too.
Aten won twice in Adelaide two months ago then ventured back to Victoria where she didn't fire at Flemington.
But the next run at Moonee Valley was a corker. The daughter of Fighting Sun got back to near last and rattled late to close into fifth behind the likes of Loving Gaby and Exhilarates. That is elite fillies form.
From this gate she probably goes back and is ridden the same. Just hoping there is enough speed but with no weight, she will fly home.
That previously mentioned Derby trial is the Hill Smith Stakes and has been won by the likes of On A Jeune, Gallant Guru and Kibbutz who could all stay.
There is some value from a strong stable with Magazine having just her third race start.
She is by Savabeel out of an O'Reilly mare and could easily become an Oaks filly in the Autumn.
Her win first up was excellent at Bendigo, getting back beyond midfield and finding the line so strongly.
This race sets up for there to be decent speed and you can just see her having the last call on the leaders. Backing her each way.
