Progressive stallion Dreamreacher looks well placed to score back-to-back wins on another big 10-race card at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
The Gillian Heinrich-trained four-year-old will be gunning for his fourth success at just his seventh start in the Padua College Benchmark 75 over 1400m.
Dreamreacher impressed a fortnight ago when he hit the line strongly to draw away for a comfortable 1.3L win at this course, returning a strong rating that ranks him clear of these rivals.
That was just his second run since a spell of close to six months so it should have improved him further and his strength on the line suggests the step up in distance will cause him no problems.
The last-start win was jockey Brad Stewart's first ride on the entire and he sticks on Saturday.
He draws gate one as he did last outing so Stewart should be able to secure a cushy run and Dreamreacher looks a horse capable of going on to better things.
Valario was luckless last start and looks worth another chance in the Lite N' Easy No Metro Win Handicap over 1200m.
The gelding's last outing should be forgotten after he endured a torrid run in stronger company, travelling up to five wide in the run.
There was merit in his performance to battle away in the straight and he gets a much better draw for jockey Ron Stewart in an easier race on Saturday.
Valario is lightly raced but has a 50 per cent strike rate, showing what he is capable of when scoring first up at Sunshine Coast two back.
He returned a strong rating in that win and a performance up to that level would stack up well in this line up.
