The Mark Walker trained Red Rover returned with a bang last start and appears well placed to go on with the job at Kranji on Sunday night.
Due to contest the ninth event, Red Rover stormed away to score by three lengths first up and is clearly a galloper trending the right way.
Only lightly raced, Red Rover has placed in six of his seven starts and is yet to miss the money over 1000m.
Only a fairly recent addition to the Walker stable, Red Rover began his career with Team Hawkes, placing in two of his three starts.
He won his second start at Rosehill and left Australian shores rated 84 by Timeform.
Off the scene for close to a year (305 days), Red Rover placed in his first two starts for Walker before winning his next two.
Given a short break (72 days) following his break through win in August, Red Rover easily justified his heavy market support ($1.60) when a class above.
A multiple winner in Class 4 company, Red Rover makes the step up to Class 3, but appears well placed with Benny Woodworth taking over.
From the inside draw he looks to get into a lovely stalking position and if able to continue his upward spiral, he should prove hard to beat.
The Shane Baertschiger trained Stunning Cat was very good behind Lonhro Gold last start and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again.
The wide draw is a concern as he's likely to get a long way back, however he is sure to be very strong late.
Like him kept fresh and he is a noted flier on the polytrack - major threat.
The Cliff Brown trained Baffert will be better over further and will likely need the run, however he cannot be taken lightly in his return.
A talented type on his day, if they overdo it in-front, he can really launch at them late.
Of the rest, the ever consistent Super Smart appears the next in line.
