It is closing in toward the Autumn carnival where the Derby is the highlight and there are some Listed races on the card.

We were on Inspirational Girl second up and see no reason not to think she will do it again.

She was slow out first up but then raced much closer working into the race earlier.

Now third up at a mile, she will be fitter again and can be at worse midfield. That Reliable Man bloodline will kick in late.

There will be enough speed in this field you'd think that brings her into it without much pressure.

Could she even be a Perth Cup horse next season? We will use her as the banker in doubles this week though.

Another one in the betting but a bit better value is Here Comes Lenni in Race 4.

He was straight to 1900m in the Narrogin Cup and battled on into second there.

Now second up and fitter, he's better suited here as a winner this course and distance previously.

Watch for him to be closer and staying on strongly.
