Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on March 28.
It's Tancred Stakes Day at Rosehill and the Group 1 card is backed up by metro meetings at Doomben, Bendigo, Ascot and Morphettville Parks.
Rosehill: Race 5 @ 3:10pm
Was all over the Fireball form last weekend (Cosmic Force/California Zimbol), we hit with one, but missed in a big way with Cosmic Force. Comfortably beat the SP with Cosmic Force, however it does little for our back pocket. The Gerald Ryan trained Villami won the Fireball and happy to stick with her on Saturday, lining up in the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes [1200m]. Read More

Doomben: Race 5 @ 2:22pm
Two narrow defeats will have Sydney visitor Royal Witness primed to win at Doomben on Saturday. The Joe Pride-trained gelding looks well-placed in the XXXX Dry C6 Plate over 1050m. Royal Witness heads north after going down by small margins at his past two appearances, missing by a head at Randwick before being pipped on the line in a rich sprint in Canberra. Read More
Bendigo: Race 5 @ 2:22pm
The Golden Mile is typical for it's type, with a big field that runs deep with chances. We think there is a bet in among those chances though with the famously enigmatic So Si Bon, complete with his 7% strike rate, thrown up as a play at the 5-1 on offer in early markets - with better prices hopefully to be bet closer to race time. Ascot: Race 6 @ 3:30pm
The Derby lead up is the Melvista Stakes and there could be some value. Even acknowledging that William Pike has chosen the stable mate, we fancy Midnight Blue could be the better stayer and now at 2200m that can make the difference. Read More
Morphettville Parks: Race 5 @ 3:51pm
Need to wait for the end of the card for our bets this week. Coming from very decent Victorian form, we will be backing Grand Crown in Race 6. Read More
