The Adelaide carnival is getting into swing with some very large sized fields.
The best horse running at Morphettville on Saturday is Dalasan in the Port Adelaide Guineas and he's the best on the card.
While he hasn't won this campaign, he's been improving to the extent his best effort came last time in the All-Star Mile when coming from near the tail to just miss the placings.
Naturally that race is kilometres better than this Listed race and none of these would even consider making an event like that.
Dalasan gets a cheap run from the draw and can sit around where he did in the Carbine Club Stakes last November.
From there he can show that in fact he is better suited at this and even 2000m compared to shorter trips so far.
Given the field sizes on the day, there is value aplenty and the Manihi Classic is one race with a lot of it.
We are more than happy to have something each way on Tahitian Dancer at huge odds.
Last time in she had five runs for three wins, one flashing home on Ballarat's big day in a mares race and then up to Brisbane in the Nudgee doing the same thing.
She can ease back but still be in front of some from this alley, hope they go really quickly and then flash through some late splits.
