It's a deep and interesting betting card at Caulfield on Saturday and we can hope to get good bang for our buck across the nine races.

We are hoping to get plenty of bang for our buck in the eighth on the card where Knowles comes up as our bet of the day over 1100m. 

It's typical of the card, deep in not just numbers but chances, but none look to hold stronger claims than Knowles who arrives third up and ready to produce the sort of peak she has always promised. 

She was a very slick winner first up before the pattern went against her last time and she was left to make a long looping run that ultimately came up short but saw her walk away from the races with her reputation enhanced. 

A soft draw here can see her take a trail and get a much softer time of things in the run, allowing her to coil the spring and let rip with the acceleration that we have seen in glimpses to this point. She's got the talent to win and 4/1 seems a bet in a market that could do plenty of changing come race day. 

Tempting as it was to remain stuborn and throw up So Si Bon as an each way play again... we are throwing up Coruscate in race seven, the Bel Esprit Stakes. 

Coruscate got himself right back in form at Bendigo last time and that gives him a good look at this. The promise of that bringing him on further and on towards a new peak makes him an appealing each way play at double figure odds with those shorter than him in the market fairly easy to pick holes in.
