Racing is back to Belmont for metropolitan Saturday racing.

When in doubt you stick with Grant & Alana Williams and William Pike and they team up with a 4yo Showmanship in Race 6.

He's only had two goes, winning on debut at this track and then a defeat second up so was turned out.

That was behind Samizdat who contested and did a nice job in all the main Summer carnival lead ups to the Railway and then ran so well in that too.

Importantly he has bar plates off first time so his feet are obviously improving and that can only be a positive.

Let's stay with the strength of Perth racing for the best.

While this mare has been up for a very long while, Defiantly shows no signs of turning sour and should run well again in Race 5.

She was close up in the Geraldton Cup and then came to town where she again finished the race off well into second.

From this barrier you'd expect her to land around midfield and move into the race before the bend.

She appears the right sort of horse that is a safe play both totes.
